^lol! I was both shocked and not so shocked by your statement. You're actually the second person I know of from Australia who said the very same thing. I believe it now.

Thanks! I'm excited.

Haha, I emailed my bass teacher the news and this was his entire reply (copy/pasted):

..this coming from someone who's normally really professional, he was my bass teacher for 4 years as an undergrad. No header/footer, nothing.

Well, I went out last night to a sushi bar with my girlfriend in celebration. That's it really. Then we watched Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni until like 3:30am haha. Maybe I'll have more of a "party" later, in the summer. I'm really busy until June, really, so I won't have any time.

nah, that's the kind of celebration I usually go for, low key and with someone you really want to be with. It's great.

Been quiet around here. Even I'm not coming as much as I usually do.

Ah, it's Autumn. Of course, you can't tell here - there aren't any decidious trees. But the gum trees are flowering and the air smells like honey. If the flowers weren't 10m high, I might see the bees. Yah, and you can hear the flying foxes at night.

I'm going to Queensland on Sunday. North Queensland. Rainforest, coral reefs, tropical islands, palm trees. I'm there. Perfect temperature days and impressive lightning storms at night. It's still warm, but without the box jellyfish that come out in Summer that paralyze/kill you if you touch them.
Flying up... yeah. Security is pretty lax. Last time at Cairns, I walked out the plane, through that walkway, where the bags are directly outside, then walk out the door - distance travelled: 10m.
bye bye...

You paint incredible pictures with your descriptions. I'm jealous!!!

But you can keep the deadly jellyfish. I don't want 'em any time soon. :e_tongue:
'Tis Spring here and in two to three more weeks we'll have black flies by the truckload. That's deadly enough.

We get flies horribly in summer too, but I haven't seen much for a couple of years. Usually you have to bat flies off your face every 3 seconds, but I don't know where they've been.
