The least-anticipated revival since Fuller House is finally here! Against all odds, the Excel
Saga Forum is back with its original domain name intact. Read the announcement thread for
more details, or check out the Resources section for help finding copies of both the manga and
anime. And don't forget to join our newfangled Discord if that's the kind of thing you're into!

The speedup is go!  Who says only Jump manga can do it?!

April 9, 2013.

At this rate, the series will likely be finished in early 2014, a full 3 years earlier than I had expected!

And then I'm sure Viz will license Holy Brownie.  Right?  ANY DAY NOW.  ^_-

Yes, any day now. I was sure I saw a flying pig today, too. But that could've been the result of the fumes off the bathroom cleaner I used previously! :e_tongue:

Very good news, though!

I realize that Vol. 24 hasn't even come out yet, but it's already time to request your letters and fan art for Vol. 25, so please feel free to contribute!  :ehail:

I'm not sure I've anything to submit, but I'm looking forward to it coming out anyway ;)

I'm a bit late but I now have this on the index page news for all to see in case it's not seen here. ^^;;

Not much posting going on lately, but needless to say even though I'm busy with things in life, I'm still looking forward to Excel Saga 25 coming out : p

MincyMatsu

Who isn't ..? :D (rhetorical question, you knoooww it..!)
It can't come soon enough, for now, I'm still awaiting volume 24 to arrive here..!

I read it tonight..!

Gotta say, happy something actually happens now..! Spoiler below, so please be careful to read on if you want to read it yourself:
To start with, I'm happy it didn't stay almost passive like volume 24 did... While I liked vol 24 for obvious reasons (just seeing my favorite characters talk is cool afterall), it lacked the feeling of progression, actually going somewhere, this volume had this..!
First half was a long winded build-up, for what became the incredibly funny second half of the book, where we get a ton of the otherwise very rare interaction between almost every important character, and the imprisonment of them later on was hysterical, I never thoghut I'd see Sumiyoshi and Watanabe be THIS vile... Maybe Watanabe, but surely not sumiyoshi, and even Misaki lost her senses..! All in good humor, and without feeling too awkward or as I feared, forced in as a cheap way to interact with the "other side", but it feels very fitting for them to be in this situation,  and of course there's even more speculation going on, 2 il Palazzo's..?! Is one a puppet and one real..?! Miwa seems to mess with us, I can't get a hold of who's in control of who anymore..!

Only 2 volumes left, I honestly can't see this being wrapped up in just 2 more books, but I'll hang on to it, if anything, not for the story, but just to see all the characters together like this, I love seeing the characters talk, and generally just do stuff, and I honestly couldn't care less for the context, but admittedly, the story does make me curious as to how it's supposed to end, or whatever Rikudou has in mind (Hey, One can dream for a continuation of SOME kind right..?)

Also, Now we need a blushing Ropponmatsu/Isshiki 1 Le emoticon  :ropponmatsuI:
Anyway, overall, I think the last half of this volume makes up for the kind of dull happenings that occurred in volume 24, which just felt like it was dragging on and on, which I wouldn't have minded if it was split up with some stuff going on at least, or done in an earlier volume, and not so close to the conclusion of the series..!

So that was, uh... Well, I liked the last two chapters (and to a lesser extent the third one)!

It got pretty hilarious near the end, and the final reveal was great, but this one was actually - dare I say - boring at times. Haven't felt that way about Excel Saga since volume 13. The pacing has really gotten slow, even more so than usual; I honestly have no idea how Rikdo can wrap this up in just two more volumes.

With regard to your question ...
... about the 2 Il Palazzo's: I have the impression that the second one (seen only from behind) is female, wearing a very similar, but slightly feminized (?), outfit.
