Just as the title says, what are your favorite opening/closing themes

Opening

-Lilium (Elfin Lied)
-Light Before We Land (Gunslinger Girl)
-Battlecry (Samurai Champloo)
-Asterisk (Bleach) <-The first opener
-Ready Steady Go and Undo (Fullmetal Alchemist) <-The second and third opener
-H.T. (Trigun)
-Christmas in the Silent Forest (Ghost in the Shell: Stane Alone Complex 2nd Gig)
-Aozora no Namida (Blood+) <- The first opener

Ending

-Ride on Shooting Star (FLCL)
-Shooting Star (Bleach) <- The third closer
-Shiki no Uta and San Francisco (Samurai Champloo) <-The standard and final closers
-Kesenai Tsumi (Fullmetal Alchemist) <-The first closer

EDIT: Whoops! Kesenai Tsumi is the first opener of FMA, not the second.
All these college professors teaching classes about Shakespeare, who was the 16th-century equivalent of a director of summer-blockbusters, makes me wonder if 500 years from now we'll have college courses on the subtle nuances of Michael Bay movies.

There's many I like. Here's just a few..

Slayers NEXT : Give a Reason (I recommend the Giga Mix version if you can find it)

Grenadier: OP theme, "Kohaku"

Chrno Crusade - end theme "Sayonara Solitaire"

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni : OP self-titled track, and the end theme, "Why, Or Why Not"

Bleach : "D-tecnoLife" (Second OP)

Fate/stay night - OP "Disillusion"

Naruto - end theme (12th) "Parade"

Black Lagoon - OP "Red Fraction"

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya : End theme - "Hare Hare Yukai"

Lucky Star - OP theme (Gotta wonder if this song will give "Hare Hare Yukai" a run for the money.... Perhaps even the dance as well? hmm...)

Opening themes...
Excel Saga (of course)
Azumanga Daioh
Ranma 1/2 Season 1 (I just never get tired of watching all those run cycles...)
Tsukikage Ran
Galaxy Angel Season 1
Fruits Basket
Rune Soldier
Paranoia Agent
Kodocha (The Totally Relax song with all the dancing people...)
Spiral has an ear-piercing beginning that made me certain that I'd hate the song, but I came to really love the opening.

There are far fewer end themes I like enough to keep watching them...

The Gokusen is all that comes to mind, in fact, apart from Excel Saga.  (And I've seen Menchi sing so much I'm a bit bored with it.)

DEFENSE!! DEFENSE!!___OFFENSE!! OFFENSE!!

A lot of the ones I like have already been mentioned (Jun, Red Fraction, Lilium, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni etc.), so I'll just mention a few other ones.

Unparalleled Beauty - Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei ED
Puzzle - Welcome to the NHK! OP
DUVET - Serial Experiments Lain OP
Future Century Secret Club - Boogiepop Phantom ED (this is an AMV to the ED song)

I guess I'd like to add the Cowboy Bebop themes... they are spectacular, as is the whole soundtrack. Also, I'm a Pillows fan so the whole FLCL soundtrack is great.
