Throw away those contact lens, ladies! This thread wasn't meant for 'em. ^^
The term is a japanese slang meaning "Girl with glasses". megane for glasses and ko for girl
(No, it doesn't have anything to do with cats as someone once asked me.)

In this case, female anime/manga characters who wear glasses.

Honestly, who isn't just a bit of a glasses fanatic?
The 'librarian look' has that undeniable allure of 'sexy-nerd' which is impossible to ignore. ^_^

Of course, glasses can also give the look of strength, whimsy, intellect, or perhaps even ominous undertones.
