i just thought it was awkard, but, meh, personal opinion.
y'know i really disliked the softball episode. i only liked the part where excel was singing at the start.

Episodes I Hate : Menchi's Great Adventure, The Story Of Mr Pedro (pointless recap episode) and For You I Could Die (sorry, but an Excel Saga episode without humour is NOT 'true' Excel Saga, IMO)

I dug "For you, I could die".  It's close to the same tone of the manga.  I also liked "The Interesting Giant Tower" for the same reason.

Least favorites: both Minci episodes, and the Pedro recap...

The thing I liked best about "Going Too Far", was the just about proper
(but still too much) amount of blood Hayatt spewed.  The majority of the series was tame when it came to the rather shocking amount that she vomits up in the manga.

Yeah, For You I Could Die is one of my favorites, too, thus my comment about the manga.  I also thought that The Interesting Giant Tower was great.

I actually liked the second Menchi episode, though, it was rather funny.

Considering that the show was aired late at night, why didn't they put the proper amount of Hyatt blood in the other episodes? O.o

While I wouldn't classify the amount of blood in the manga as "shocking," "disgusting," or "disturbing," she still bleeds quite a bit.

I think the worst one was the bathtub bomb incident where she went off like a sprinkler

There are many instances where she is either spewing more then a little from her mouth, or is found lying in a puddle.  I called it rather shocking, because it is much more then a simple nosebleed or even a deep cut.  It's more like the amount that would come from a lost limb... except from her mouth.

worst one would be for elgala when they were in the  hobo shack, elgala looks non-chanantly to hyatt and blood caomes out of her mouth and elgala has this freeeked out expression. worst one i reckon.
oooh, the most shocking when thoses birds ate hyatts pill and died. that was creepy.
