The least-anticipated revival since Fuller House is finally here! Against all odds, the Excel
Saga Forum is back with its original domain name intact. Read the announcement thread for
more details, or check out the Resources section for help finding copies of both the manga and
anime. And don't forget to join our newfangled Discord if that's the kind of thing you're into!

I hope no one gets mad at me, but after downloading the first episode I'm already pretty turned off.

I dislike the anime version too  :lordilvryannoyed:.
You're not alone  :e_wink:.

why compare the anime to the manga? doing so is just stupid. the anime only had 6 or so volumes to adapt. they even made the fact they ran out of material to go on as a joke! as an anime it was epic, which didnt worry about koshi rikudos version too much. nabeshins input and story was probably the best idea at the time to make rid of any serious plot and just concentrate on the silly slapstick, which still hails as the craziest anime of all time!

the anime is epic win. BUT, if the anime never had existed, and they decided to do one now, i would only want to see a faithful manga adaptation from scratch, with no nabeshin, or no direct sequel to the 1st series. like i said, the anime we got only had 6 volumes to go on, so it shouldnt and didn't rely on it.

How can anyone not like "that man". Lol what a hilarious name. "...but you will always only be 'That Man!'" roflol

I was curious so I skipped to the final episode to see if it really deserved to be called "Going Way Too Far".

......

Yup. The scene with Shioji was one of the creepiest things I have ever seen.

Favorite of mine was episode 18 "Municipal Force Daitenzin". A good Power-Ranger spoof even if there wasn't real evil to battle.

The Pedro recap was a waste of time. But they probably done it on purpose to piss everyone off.

Pamplemousse

:il_hahaha: We agree on two counts then. Love the daitenzin episode too! It's almost my favorite, though for some reason I can't call it that...
And Pedro is the least, barely beating out Mince. Not that Mince isn't great, but without Excel and co. and with those creepy anthropomorphic fellow dogs... well, blergle.
I, Pamplemousse, do not believe in alligators.

Gecko Moria

I gotta start reading the manga. The anime got me in.
Now I wanna see what these 140+ chapters of entertainment (continuing) is about.

Randomness

For some reason, one of my favorite episodes is the bowling one. Its just so ridiculous.

Same. Also I like the fact I laughed to the point of annoying my brother while I was watching that episode, very good episode, certainly one of my favourites, especially with that memory that I find amusing.
