Creativity / Ha ha ha ha haaaa! Excel Apeiron in action!

Some of you may remember about 6 years ago, I made an Excel Saga total conversion of the Mac game Apeiron. Of course, most of you don't have Macs or Apeiron so you could only see screenshots. 
(I'm not sure you can even mod the newest version of Apeiron.)
Now I finally have screen recording software, and of course (after many crashes) my first project was to put a video of my Excel game online!

Sorry it's a little blurry: for best results, use hi-def and full-screen. But you get the full sound scape, anyway.

Miscellaneous / Funimation picks up Excel Saga license

You probably know about it (sorry if it's been discussed already, I'm lazy and didn't search) but it looks like Funimation will be picking up Excel Saga in 2011!

Ole lived across the Minnesota River from Clarence Bunsen, whom he didn't like at all.
They were yelling across the river at each other all the time.
Ole would yell to Clarence, "If I had a vay to cross dis river, I'd come ofver dere an beat you up good, yeah sure ya betcha by golly!"
This went on for years.
Finally, the state built a bridge across the river right there by their houses.
Ole's wife, Lena, says, "Now iss yer chance, Ole. Vhy doncha go over dere and beat up dat Clarence like you said you vud?"
Ole replied, "OK, by yimmy, I tink I vill do yust dat!"
Ole started for the bridge, but he saw a sign on the bridge and stopped to read it, then turned around and came back home.
Lena asked, "Vhy did you come back?"Ole said, " Lena , I tink I changed my mind 'bout beatin' up dat Clarence. You know, vhen I yell at him from across da river he don't look so big. But dey put a sign on da bridge dat says "Clarence is 13 ft. 6 In."

Hey, guys! Know it's been ages since I was here. Actually, I bought the last few Excel Saga mangas, but haven't read them yet because I haven't had time to reread the whole series, which I want to do.
I'm entered in an art contest online. I entered near the beginning, and have pretty much managed to stay in the top 10. Now, three weeks from the end, my position is quickly eroding, and I am totally desperate for votes.
All I need is to stay in the top 25. If you could find it in your heart to toss me a vote or two, the page is at http://www.corelquestforthebest.com/index.php?eid=41
It makes you register/sign in with an e-mail, but you have to click the LIKE button to actually vote. When you vote, you are entered in a drawing for a HP Mini Netbook. You can vote once a day.

Anime / Best DVD extras / Easter eggs

If you have an anime DVD with really unmissable extra content, please post about it here. Too often, you get only clean openings/closings, trailers, and maybe a commentary or picture gallery. It's easy to miss extra episodes or other valuable entertainment if you're not expecting it.
The best DVD extras I've found so far:
Comic Party--Each DVD has a part of a special hot springs episode.
Utawarerumono--Serious as this series is, Disc 1 has a funny short in the extras.
The Gokusen--the dubbing outtakes are seriously funny!
Fruits Basket--Easter eggs--Funny dubbing outtakes and original screen tests, plus the English version of the song 'Serenade." To find them, go to the Extras menu of Discs 1 and 3, and enter 10 on the remote.

I picked up a Gameboy Advance at a swap meet!
Can anyone recommend some really good games? I'm interested especially in RPGs, and maybe something anime-based or with anime-style art, maybe a dating game a la Ilpalazzo's.
I pretty much suck at any game requiring speed, good eyesight, and a high degree of coordination, though....

Heh, finished my AMV...it's to the tune of Aqua's Roses are Red. It's...um....sort of a retelling of the Key episode.

Oddly enough, I was thinking of Excel Saga the other day, and realized that in my head, Sumiyoshi has a voice. Scratchy, sort of deep, but nasal.
Anyone else have a clear voice in their head for Sumiyoshi? Just curious.
