Any other fans of these cult classics? If not I can expose you to the awesomeness through some choice youtube videos.
Best of the trilogy in my opinion...nothing beats horror comedy.
That's the attitude! Groovy.
I've loved Army of Darkness for years, and I own the normal theatrical release and the director's cut with what was meant to be the original ending.
They came up with quite a few endings for it didn't they. I thought the supermarket ending was a bit rubbish in my opinion, too cheesy even for Army of Darkness.
I get what you're saying but I still liked that ending, the altyernate ending was even cheesier.
Yes the post-apocaytic world was cheesy, but in effect it was a cheesy film...cheesy for comedic effect.
Yeah. Ash is a great character too, I mean thoughs one liners are legendary.
Not legendary, but memorable like those of Monty Python....this is my boomstick
Swallow your soul, swallow your soul, all three films are excellent, found the third film funny.
Monty Python's great.
Yeah, does anybody else not understand how evil dead I gets to Evil Dead II? Is it a remake or does Ash go back to the same evil cabin? If it's in order than how is there still a necronomicon after they burn it?
From what I understand Evil Dead (the original) was one he made for a film class and it was meant to be a true horror movie, but unfortunately most people thought it was terribly funny in parts, so when he had more money he decided to retool and remake the original, but this time gear it more towards the humor end. Alas this is just hearsay from Raimi fans I've known. If anyone can confirm that, more power to you.
Sounds abut right to me. Is it just me or has that series made anyone else VERY afraid of trees?
Hay guiz i hvnt seen th movee yt, bt izzit ok 4 mai sven yer odl dauter 2 wach? Pllllzzz heeeellllllp!!1
[/Parody post]
By the way, all of them are great films, top notch.
The necronomicon can't be destroyed easly, it wooulld be nice if it was real though you could conjure up all sorts of weird shit and send the entire planet to a demon infested hell, my kind of dream and world.
Hail to the king baby.
Awesome lines.
Awesome movies too
I loved the evil dead movies!
I think it was based off the book mentioned in a Lovecraft nowel, and while we're on the subject, has anyone seen "Reanimator"? I'd suggest it to all Evil Dead fans, very campy.
Reanimater is a pile of poo and not very good, I prefer ghoulies though for the humor factor or gremlins though you can't really call that a horror film
Hwats wrong with Reanimator?!
"I gave him LIFE!"
Did you know that ash is in Marvel Zombies.
Already read them, pretty awesome.

i just watched Dawn of the Dead last night :D
talk about cheesy :)
Ash is apparently the cause of the marvel zombies or so I have heard, it could also be the T-Virus as well but that just silly speculating
The dawn trilogy are the best movies ever made.
Evil dead has gotten alot of hype over the last few years with the video game and comics. I bet there will be another movie down the road a ways.
I just watched Evil Dead 2 for the first time in years, and I must say this:
Best movie ever made.
Yo, she-bitch! Let's go!
"Good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun."
Maybe. Just maybe my boys can protect the book. Yeah, and maybe I'm a Chinese jet pilot.
i love that movie

Swallow your soul, swallow your soul, wwwahhahahahahahahahahaha
Have any of you seen "Shaun of the Dead"?
yes....but it doesn't have the timeless classic quality like that of evil dead. Was better than run fat-boy run

"Run Fatboy Run" was awful. That movie lacks all of the fun and subtlety of Pegg's earlier works.

Here here....i totally agree
I own Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, but I agree that they don't stand up as well as the Evil Dead franchise. Never seen Run, Fat Boy, Run, but apparently I'm not missing much.
Someone should do some cross-over art of Ash and Excel kicking ass together.
I would cry tears of pure joy.
Well they have done the frddy vs jason vs ash comic, thought it was bit crap though. Since they have been remaking these horror films, I wonder if they will remake evil dead, though they would end up fucking it up and it would just be as bad as the remake of friday the 13th, it wasn't bad but I felt it was too long for nearly 2 hours
