The deadline has now passed for submitting letters and fan art to vol. 25, but of course, the invitation still stands for vol. 26!

Sounds good.
I know it might be a bit early to ask but is there a deadline for submissions for vol. 26?
The deadline for submitting letters and fan art to Vol. 26 is January 15. After that, there's only one more chance, or chaaaaansu as Asuka would say. ^_^
Ack, I don't want to miss out on that :O
Thank you for the info Carl. :ehail:
Just a reminder to everyone that it's almost time to get in any letters and/or fan art for Vol. 26!
I'm so busy with studies, busy busy busy, I want to see if I can make it in time !!!

You got to, man!
Yeah I got a new job recently so busy too : p
:elhail: LESS THAN A MONTH. :g_hail:
Was anyone as surprised as I was when first seeing the cover art for volume 26?
It looks decidedly very similar as volume 8; El's and Hyatt's poses are nearly identical from previous. I can only guess Excel is standing in the background (it's hard to tell).
I think that's deliberate. Doesn't the final volume echo (Japanese) Volume 1's art?
^Perhaps not in this case. I'm looking at the Japanese volume 1 right now from a Google search. It's not the same.
Also, the Japanese vol. 1 had a shoujo art style (Damn, forgot how girly Lord Il looks on that cover...) :il_hahaha:
The vol. 26 cover is definitely mimicing vol. 8. I'm not complaining, though. It just seems a bit odd. :e_confused:
26 is a redraw of 8 and 27 is a redraw of (Japanese) 1. But I'm not complaining; they look really nice!
^Okay, I just found the Japan vol. 27 cover.
Yep, it's a redraw of numba 1.
A pwetty one too :elhail:
I think I've lost control of the plot. And apparently whoever made this volumes lost control of the toner.
Yeah, I noticed the printing issues as well. I wonder if that was deliberate.
I've already forgotten what they expect to find behind that door.
Oh right, bargaining tool.

I haven't yet picked up my copy to see. Do you think this to be an actual printing flaw?
Haven't received my copy yet; I ordered it with the Fujiko Mine blu-ray to get free shipping, so it still hasn't shipped as far as I know. I know I had some printing issues on volumes 16 and 19 in the past (the former had no toner in one part, the latter was printed out of order). Too bad it's happened again for y'all. :(
This was cute. I'm glad these two airheads finally met.

If you are able to get the digital Vol. 26, the art is clean and there are no toner smudge issues (my print copy had those).
How bad is the printing error? Still readable?
I only just got around to ordering 26 there now.
As I've said before, but I feel like saying again, I've always loved Excel Saga, but the massive delay between volumes definitely killed it a bit for me.
I remember I bought the first volumes from Forbidden Planet probably about 6 years ago? Back when I was around 17, and reading them volume after volume over a couple of years, along with Hellsing, the only other manga I've actually bought.
And loving it big time, I just found the humour so amusing, I liked the art and the story was wacky and enjoyable. My interest peaked massively in the volume Dr Kabapu revealed that he and Il Palazzo were 20,000 years old and all of a sudden there was an actual legitimate storyline.
However it was unfortunately soon after this point that the Volumes started being released so slowly, it was fine for the first one or two but after that the distance between them was just too long for me.
I still intend to finish the series because I maintain interest in it, but I never finished volume 24 when it came out and have had 25 sitting beside my bed unread since I got it because I've a full time job now etc, and just finding the motivation to pick up a mangabook and read it is difficult.
I read other manga online still, but I've found it difficult to actually pick up the last couple of books even though I'm still massively fond of the series.
