start it up
orgy-vapor transmissions [chasing sirens is an truly great song, you can tell how much the band matured with this album]
postal service-give up [wish it was more than keyboards, while very good]
nine inch nails-broken [ i bought it for "wish" and "gave up", and found it on repeat for a few hours]
kill hannah-until there is nothing left of us [well put together album, get it on itunes for 45 minutes of band commentary and an extra track]
noise unit-voyeur [really good synth work]
Does iTunes count? I purchased something from there just two days ago. I purchased an entire CD.
Great Performances: The Glory of Gabrieli (E. Power Biggs, Gregg Smith Singers, Edward Tarr).
itunes counts! SHIIIT you think i'm going to pay $17 an album? [laughing...creepily]
Metallica-And Justice For All
Dragonforce-Sonic Firestorm
I'd advise against buying either.
by the name of the second band... i just know it must be something aweful.
I told you not to get Dragoneforce...
They're all right, just kind of repetitive is all.
And they're a speed metal band.
bought some more stuff i don't need all that much. but still wanted.
orgy-punk statik paranoia
thoughts: it's alright. not the best follow up to vapor transmission. it seemed to just not AS good as the previous. by no means is it a bad album, but it was lacking lyrically, i just didn't like the way most of the songs were done.... well i guess it isn't good then. it has a few good songs like inside my head and leave me out. but most of the others will be skipped if you have your ipod on shuffle until you take them off. buy it if your a die-hard orgy fan. which i am. but i know it isn't very good.
pete yorn - nightcrawler
thoughts: pete yorn was one of the first artists i ever saw in concert. mind i didn't like him at the time. because the sixth grader i was just wanted to see puddle of mudd and blink 182. but yeah this is an great album for anyone that enjoys the sound of an acoutsic guitar being played with equally great skill.
linkin park - i bought all three major releases - [meteora, reanimation, hybrid theory]
thoughts: linkin park is a really good band. i think we all should know this by now. and why did i purchace all thre albums? well remember how i said my cds were stolen once upon a time? yeah. these three were among them.
the flaming lips - yoshimi battles the pink robots
thoughts: wow. this album has an incredble sound. get it now if you haven't already. the songs are very odd lyrically. but not incoharent.
angelspit - krankhaus
thoughts: is you like electro, buy this. if you like things that are really loud, buy this, if you like female singers, buy this. if you enjoy the idea of me calling this album comperable to a porno-snuff-film's soundtrack with a broken speaker, buy this.
i don't really know hos to describe this music. it's easy to dance to, mosh to, whatever. the lyrics are all about domination, atheism and medical experimentation. i love this album.
papa roach - the paramour sessions
thought: bleh. i like papa roach. and this album is almost exactly like getting away with murder. i got tired of it fast. i didn;t even PUT IT on my ipod before i was tired of it. prolly not a buy.
the ataris - not capable of love - the single
thoughts: i don't even want the album that will follow this now. yuck. they sound like my chemical romance in this shit. they dropped the upbeat persona they had before and decided to become emo as hell. and not even talentend emo. just trash emo. it's sure to go to the top of the charts fellows!
i feel outta place here :(
I bought Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex Solid State Society O.S.T
(longest title ever)
Player, and the Sniper theme is really good.[/quote]
Right:
Kansas-Leftoverture
Spock's Beard-Beware of Darkness
Summoning-Dol Guldur
Nile-In Their Darkened Shrines
Morbid Angel-Blessed Are the Sick
Haven't listened to the last two yet. Left the most metal till last I guess.
Oh, and I got Metal: A Headbanger's Journey. Worth checking out if you have a little extra cash. (The extra stuff with Lemmy is pretty funny!). :D
I just got Porcupine Tree's new album (that thing which has been in my signature).
I'm going to listen to it tonight in the dark with headphones. Just how it intended to be.
the last Cd's I purchased were the Azumanga Daioh soundtracks 1 + 2
I'm hoping to get the Tribute to AzumangaDaioh and the Vocal Songs
Rainbow-Long Live Rock n' Roll
Rush-Snakes and Arrows
Porcupine Tree-Fear of a Blank Planet
Devin Townsend Band-Synchestra
Frank Zappa-One Size Fits All
Gojira-From Mars to Sirius

their cover of take on me wins so many internets.
Take On Me is amazing. My favorite song of theirs is their cover of Kiss Me Deadly.
Funny how my favorite 2 songs from them are both covers... haha.
that's how i am with msi, except the tom sawyer cover... yuck. but the bring the pain and big poppa covers, they are pretty great.
Great stuff, MSI...
i mannaged to get over 100 tracks of their work WITHOUT the use of torrents. but after that point it starts getteing harder and harder.
Ahhhhhhhh pfffffffffffffffffffff downloading? Come on now...
oh hell i'm not paying $30 here (http://www.amazon.com/Despierta-Los-Ni%C3%B1os/dp/B000GTN8N6/ref=pd_sim_m_2_img/103-7598909-3483849?ie=UTF8&qid=1190883580&sr=8-8) for an out of print ep. or over $100 for the debut album, tight. and here (http://www.amazon.com/Tight-Mindless-Self-Indulgence/dp/B00000I9VT/ref=pd_bbs_sr_8/103-7598909-3483849?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1190883580&sr=8-8)

BTBAM - Silent Circus
King's X - XV
Cds?? What are these 'CDs' you speak of? :il_hahaha:
Yeah, it's been a while since buying one. Last one I bought, I think it was The Tea Party - Tangents.
IMO, The Tea Party was one of the most original sounding bands in Canada. Very dark lyrics at times but with a sound all of their own.
I plan on getting David Gilmour's latest - "On An Island" sometime soon. Damn, his guitar style is great. Loved it from his Pink Floyd days and still do.
so i wasnt too happy with black clouds and silver linings.
not that it was bad, it just...didnt seem the same as their other music, and while some of it was good, i definitely gotta say i didnt love it as much as i did systematic chaos when that came out. or any of their other CD's that i loved so much :(
Yeah it was very meh. I don't like the first 2 songs at all, Wither is good, Shattered Fortress is AMAZING, Best of Times is okay but (very ironically) the lyrics are holding back, and Count of Tuscany is awesome. So... the album just about breaks even I guess.
