General / Food!

While I was in London, my tour group went to a pie shop.  There, I ate a delicious pasty and a box of Ribena, blackcurrent juice drink.

So, now I want Ribena.  But, availability in the states is limited to the bottles of concentrate.  As hard as I try, I can never get the concentration right when I make it myself.

I also like Ramune.
As for American foods, I like pumpkin pie and popcorn.  Those are the only truly American foods I can think of.

I got the soundtrack for Chris Doctor's season and David Doctor's first season + Runaway Bride.  I love the full version of the opening.

Q: If a Vertrulean Class Battlecruiser leaves Spaceport 9 headed towards Starpoint Gamma-Tau88 at warp factor 4, and a Bosconian Class Cargo vessel at warp factor 7 leaves Spaceport 5 headed towards Starpoint Theta-Sigma42, what will be their force of impact when they collide at Starpoint Delta-Xi09?

Should I start a Torchwood thread?  My mom is a total Whovian and her friend has been giving her episodes of Torchwood to watch.  I've seen up to the episode with the nerdy guy's ghost helping Gwen to solve his mysterious death.  What I like about it is that it seems to make every episode different.  They'll have spooky episodes like the village of cannibals, or touching episodes like the nerdy ghost episode, or overtly sexual episodes like the parasite episode.  It also seems to be more adult than Doctor Who, (seeing how Doctor Who may be the most family friendly program on Sci-fi).
I also like Capt Jack (WAYOOO CAPTAIN JACK!!! WAYOOO CAPTAIN JACK!!!)........it's a DDR song....I think.....
Except that his American accent sounds fake.  He's been acting in the UK and other countries for so long that he doesn't pronounce vowels with an American accent.  In the first ep, he says estrogen with a long ee sound, whereas in America we would use the short e sound, (given that the person has a three-syllable vocabulary, which is less than likely.)

Sorry for the long post, I'm medicated right now so I'm really jittery.

I just finished F.E.A.R.  Now I have to play the Extraction Point expansion while waiting for more details on F.E.A.R. 2.
Monolith was really ahead of its time.  In their first FPS, Blood, they tried to create a surreal shooter with a post-apocalyptic horror theme and a deep involving story of revenge from beyond the grave.  Except in Blood you play as Caleb, a twisted, vengeful gunslinger who revels in massacre and makes obscure references to cult horror movies and other games of the time, like Duke Nukem 3D and Doom.  Except that the beautifully rendered cinematics played from the installation disc, so you usually didn't get the deep, involving story.  I need to find a version that runs on XP.

My Rio Fuse (state of the art with USB input, and 256MB of memory!!!) is loaded with the pillows and music from Hellsing TV.  I'm getting all my "Blues Drive Monster" and "Soul Rescuer."  Totally cool.
I have to turn it up all the way during "Blues Drive Monster," one, because it is my favorite song, and two, because it must be so loud it hurts.

Still playing Cave Story.  I finally got to the hard ending.  Turns out you have to avoid getting a crucial and almost necessary item early on, play through the hardest boss fight without it, then you recieve an even better version.  Then, you have to save your friend Curly and trek through the hardest cave ever and fight the toughest boss rush in video game history.  Ouch.

I also bought Guilty Gear Dust Strikers.  Don't let the GameSpot review fool you.  As far as multiplayer fighters on the DS go, Dust strikers has to be the best.  Plus it has Bridget.  (BuriBuriBuriBuriBuriBuriBuriBuriBuriBuriBuriBuriBuriBuriBuri)

And, of course, F.E.A.R.  Best shooter of 2005.  Even after the mediocre success of Blood 2, Monolith can still deliver a terrifying and realistic first-person shooter.

Awesome!  The longest running television series in the world returns!
David Tennant's first season as The Doctor just started on the Sci-Fi Channel.  He's quite similar to Chris Eccelston's portrail of the Doctor, but a lot more spunky.  I hope The Master makes a comeback.  He can escape from the Eye of Harmony, right?
The Daleks rock!! Totally awesome!!
