Yeah, I don't think either side will "win" - Kabapu and Il Palazzo are coming to a conflict, but in the end I think the Daitenzin will find a means of getting away from Kabapu in the end free and (mostly) clear, and the girls will be put in a position where they can't affect the outcome and their lord will be gone, leaving them disillusioned when the dust settles.  What happens then?  I couldn't even begin to guess beyond that much.  Rikdo-san is a devious man, and this will not end in a "normal" way, count on it.  Also, Miwa will have something major to do with that outcome, and I get the feeling she is the architect behind what this eventual end will be.  Everyone else is merely a game piece.

Of course, it's not clear what the victory conditions would be, since much of the "war" seems to be a game that only Il Palazzo and Kabapu understand (Miwa doesn't seem to take it very seriously, but is trying to shape things to her own advantage). Kabapu seems to have the more modest goal: destroy the last of the Solarian "ruins" (assuming he's telling the truth), whereas Il Palazzo seems to have the much more difficult goal: take over the world.

However, Kabapu does reveal more of his thoughts about what Il Palazzo is really trying to do in Vol. 17, but you'll have to wait a little longer ^_^

By the way Carl, I liked your retrospective letter at the end of Blade of the Immortal 131, I am sad to see the monthly comic go since it is so long between the graphic novels, but I enjoyed the run, too bad I found it in monthly format so late in its run.
