The least-anticipated revival since Fuller House is finally here! Against all odds, the Excel
Saga Forum is back with its original domain name intact. Read the announcement thread for
more details, or check out the Resources section for help finding copies of both the manga and
anime. And don't forget to join our newfangled Discord if that's the kind of thing you're into!

I have got nothing against fumoffu, I actual quite like that full metal panic series, it just annoyed me with the first series thats all, and personally reading reviews of 2nd raid it doesn't interest me one bit.

QuoteKaiji's supposed to be pretty good, or so I hear. But don't watch Akagi, by the same fellow... it's boring as all hell

So far I've only watched the first episode but it has gotten me interested. I've also heard plenty of good things from others about it.

Best use of a Ray Charles recording anywhere, ever, period.

I still get chills just thinking about the final scene...
Anyone who hasn't seen Metropolis, really ought to.

Vampire hunter D and project A-ko are most recent watching of anime, clone wars again and GI Joe the movie.

galenow

Have the VHS's of Vampire Hunter D, and School Rumble 6 is out the 18th!
My family wants to watch "Arjunia" tonight but to quote; The M.P.&Holy Grail "its just like those miserable psalms, they are SO depressing".

exckilla

Nice quite funny film, it would be nice if there was such a device as the holy handgrenade of antioche (not sure about the spelling). Started to rewatch fist of thee north star in jap with subtitles from beginning, unfortunately I only got all the dvds up to the point where he kills ameba or what ever the hell he is called.

galenow

I should watch "Fist.o.t.n.s." as it is part of the great anime theme and highly spoofed in Excel Saga.

  :kabapu-1: However...

They should make people who want to not be addicted to anything watch "Arjunia" as part of the 13 step of the 12 step program.

"Soylent Green" is a lighthearted musical comedy compared to "Arjunia" :e_crying:

I can't find anything on this "Arjunia", and you've got me curious.  Where can I find it?

  :kabapu-1: sigh... You'll be sorry..
Look- to be honest... it is very well drawn, animated, music is great, and voiced very well... But SO depressing... Bandai put it out in 2003. We have the complete collection DVD's set and when we feel that everything is going well in life- we drag this out... (-_-)''

No offence but it sounds like your bog standard anime teen high school girl save another world type thing, in other words a pile of crap

It is just such a very well done anime- BUT depressingly so predictable about how everyone is messing up the planet...
Hence I was surprised that Mr. A. Gore didn't include it in his movie about climate change.   :kabapu-1:

Sometimes, a depressing story is what you need.

That's why I haven't watched Basilisk is a while...  Even though I already know the story, I still have to be in the mood to be let my hopes be crushed.  There is always the hope that it could have/should have been different.

I'll have to put this Arjuna on my list.  Thanks, galenow!

Recently watched kiddy grade again, and a question popped in to my vast expanse, when was Kiddy Grade 2 supposed to be coming out, I remeber reading an article in a newtyppe magazine
