The Enmity of Momochi and Shouji

Anyone ever notice that Momochi hates Shouji?

She never seemed like the kind of woman that hated anyone and with all the crap she has to put up with she has never shown much signs of hostility towards anyone, but when it comes to Shouji she just seems to hate him, not look at him, talk to him, or regrets when she needs his help.

This is never explained in the series, anyone got any idea for this hate? I mean Shouji isnt at all really that bad of a person, he has done many good things for the people in the story, he saved Misaki's and Iwata's life, he saved Sumiyoshi's data files. I mean really what could have happened?

Maybe she thinks that Shiouji is attractive and doesn't want to get too close to him, which would make her lose her love for Kabapu? :laugh:

I think she doesn't like Shiouji's mother... Something happened between Momochi and her (hinted in volume 12)

Maybe she doesn't hate him; maybe she's avoiding him because she's got some connection with his parents that she doesn't want him to catch onto. We know nothing about Momochi's actual motivations. I think I'll be a little disappointed if she DOESN'T have some kind of big secret.

Onw thing I noticed while rereading: she and Shioji look remarkably alike.

Could just be the drawing style, of course, but what if she's his sister?

I wasn't reading your post so much (yes, I can tell it was a joke, smiley face and all) but I think there's definitely too much being read into this.

Shioji is a pedophile, and Momochi is very straight laced and "normal" and most normal people find pedophiles naturally offensive.  She gets a case of the creeps any time she's near him, the same way any normal person would be around a pedophile.

He saved Iwata (Half a dozen times)

Erm... it's somewhat implied that he was having sexual intercourse with Ropponmatsu 2 in his car, at one point.

huh... She can fire rockets from her knee's and fire lazars from eyes? But I dont know what reference your talking about? The one where Shouji pulls up infront of the new apartment with a fixed Rop.2? Because from what I read she was the one driving wrecklessly >.>
