The least-anticipated revival since Fuller House is finally here! Against all odds, the Excel

more details, or check out the Resources section for help finding copies of both the manga and
anime. And don't forget to join our newfangled Discord if that's the kind of thing you're into!

Has anyone else seen this cute, heartwarming, family friendly anime?  Reminiscent of Lucky Star or Azumanga Daioh, this delightful series is about the everyday adventures of Keiichi Maebara and his friends; Rena, Mion, Shion, Rika, and Satoko.

I took some screenshots for you all to see how kawaii this series is. ^__^
(Images too large to use image tags.)

Uncreativity

Some people think they messed it up in the dub, but I really like it!

The pinata party is my favorite part!

Man, I wish I had a popsicle.

EDIT: Oh, and the "official dub" actually does suck.  They didn't change anything, but the voices are more laughable than creepy.  I mean, Rena sounds like a damn robot.

What the hell... is this?
A really good animu.  Also,
They're coming to take me away,
Haha, they're coming to take me away,
Ho ho, hee hee, ha ha,
To the funny farm
Where Life is Beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see
Those Nice Young Men
In their Clean White Coats
And they're coming to take me AWAY,
HA HAAAAA

Changed?  It's all part of The Becoming, my friend <--*unsubtle Red Dragon reference*.

But no, it's the same old Foggle.  Maybe you've changed? O.o

Because the other girl in my sig is a sadist and was going to torture her.  The story is extremely complicated and multi-layered.  Here's the Wikipedia article about the show, though it's much more fun learning about the story and making guesses about the overall mystery as you watch.

I'm glad to see another thread made for this. We had another one about a year or so ago which generated lots of interest.... which unfortunately became a victim of Rena's cleaver at some point...

Something to compliment Foggle's current sig of Rika... :e_shocked: <--Click Excel's head if ye dare.

Really enjoyed the first series and want to see the second one soon. The different story arcs will seriously mess with your head unlike anything.... It's like Alfred Hitchcock on crack. Like Elfen Lied, this is a series which is not for the faint of heart and not for the little kiddies. Don't become fooled by the sometimes cute nature of the characters - beneath the surface lies something dark and sinister.

The second series has much better art and animation, but I feel that the first series is better.  The second series is still going on, though.

Please don't compare it to Elfen Lied.  I despise that series almost as much as Naruto, Inuyasha, or Kaleido Star.  Higurashi is my favorite evar.

Yeah, [spoilers, highlight to read] the part where Shion tortures Satoko even gets to me.
