My favourite would have to be either the opening to Another Century's Episode 3:

Filled with famous robot goodness..... :il_hahaha:

Or the opening cinematic of Final Fantasy X. I was only 14 when I first played it, and it was the first game I got for the PS2, so the visuals and creativity of it blew me away. Still gotta be my favourite RPG ever.

I agree, Final Fantasy X has a special place for me because of the same reason-- it was my first. You never forget your first, ya know.

Disgaea's opening was pretty amazing, too. I love Etna. (The best part doesn't start until about :45 in, but I'm pretty sure most people here have played it, so it's redundant anyways!) :D

Psychonauts has a ton of amazing quotes too!
These are two of my favorites:
(4:08-5:27)

Later: The squirrels? They-They lied. Then they left...

Shadow of Destiny may not be the greatest game, but the variety of ways your character dies is pretty epic. I couldn't find any videos of it, but one involves a Chinese vase. The thing just falls on your head and you keel over.
The main character is also a thick-headed idiot... as witnessed by the scene below.

Glad you enjoyed it too Pamplemousse, despite the main character.

I forgot to mention Godhand, in which every cutscene is spectacularly funny. Though my favourite is this...

If you have a PS2 you should try and find Blood Will Tell. Just the opening alone is sweet and has a great story to accompany it. The game play gets a tad repetitive, and voice acting could be a little better, but it's really terrific over all.

OMG! I've actually never met another person who's played! You're awesome, Foggle! I started over since I haven't played it since 2006. I was almost done... I wonder why I didn't finish it. Oh well.

I really loved how the game was in black and white until you got your eyes back. And any dude who puts swords IN his arms is awesome.

^ I'm kind of getting sick of Hyakkimaru saying "I can save the game here" every time I step onto that glowing space under the umbrella, though. I just want to shout "I know that, dammit!".

Oh well. It's better than "Do you know where the sailors hang out? Have you seen any sailors?".

The tragic scene in assassins creed 2, when enzo sees his father and brothers about to hang, because of a lousy traitor
