Virtual Child Porn Ban-A piece of legislation known as the Coroners and Justice Act, which extends the law against possession of child pornography to include non?photographic images, took effect in the United Kingdom on April 6. The legislation was originally proposed in the British Parliament in March 2009. The legislation then moved to the House of Lords in Parliament in the same month.
The act makes it illegal to possess non-real, non-photographic images that are pornographic, "grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of an obscene character," as well as possessing an image that portrays a range of sexual acts "with or in the presence of a child."
Critics of the bill include the Comic Book Alliance which was co-founded by Leah Moore, the daughter of Watchmen graphic novel writer Alan Moore. The critics say that the bill would outlaw such works as Alan Moore's The Lost Girls comic.

Digital Economy Bill-I've asked the question on the anime news network, but haven't got a reply so far. I asked what exactly the 'Digital Economy Bill' is about. What exactly do we expect to happen if we are caught downloading? what should we do about it? I know I don't want to stop downloading anime, licensed in this country, the USA, or even Japan.
This law must be aimed at those that download wayyyy too much stuff. But what about those like me that download 1 or 2 anime episodes per day? I don't even download games any more. I consider this a worse crime. But is it though? Or is it an equal crime?
How could this possibly affect unlicensed anime which has never been released outside of Japan? I'm a bit sceptical about this law. I need proper evidence and a proper discussion about it with others that would know more about it. if a UK anime forum is talking about it, please share the links.
