Yay, my favourite book store in tha whole world had a whole stack of these!

I'll take one!

Reads....

Now, the next volume:

I don't think any red-blooded Excel Saga fan could possibly argue with you on that.  :e_wink:

Okay, finally got around to picking up my copy last weekend (Your copy will be in the mail soon, Zozolton. lol!)

ugh.. I feel as though I'm so far behind in discussion with current events in vol. 22. I'm hoping to get reading soon. The first page I randomly opened to had Excel with handcuffs. And they weren't on her wrists. :e_confused: I'm now thinking I may have to brush up a bit by doing a vol. 21 re-read. It's been quite a while.

Am I alone in finding the newest volumes to be the most interesting, and also the funniest, then? :e_crying:

Looks like I should've used something better than superglue to fix up my brain when part of it fell off last week... :e_upset:

I've never had much luck with super glues.
When my brain breaks, I rely on my trusty soldering iron and a good quality, lead free solder - Lead is apparently not good for you for some odd reason these days. :e_tongue:

I really like the direction the newer volumes are going with.

The progression of the series works and makes sense, to me.  It may not be as all-out absurd anymore, but it's still very funny, and much smarter.

The only thing that I disliked was the whole "Teriha" character, but I feel that experience forced Excel to mellow out (a teeny bit), and she's better for it.  My problem was seeing the hard-as-nails Excel acting like some like of shrinking violet.

P.S.  I do miss Mr. Owner...  He was bad-ass.

I read it just now, yesterday... Sure took its sweet time coming to Sweden >:(
Good stuff, still one of the best comics currently produced. Pity the wait is so long...
But at least we have a lot of progression now, in all kinds of ways. I just hope Viz will let us see the end as well.

How well is the title doing, really? Feels like it's just us 50 people here on the forum that reads it...
A lot of people have seen the anime, but no one knows there is a comic at all.

<ParadoxHeart> Hentai is when a woman and a man and a man and a man and an octopus love each other very much.

I've seen a couple of people on /a/ talk about it before (usually in threads I start, though...), and after four years of hype, I finally got one of my friends to read it (he doesn't have an account here). But yeah, the international reader-base can't be larger than 150 people. I suppose that's enough for Viz to make a profit, since it's been going not-quite-strong since 2003.

So strange that they'd cancel something popular like Gintama but keep Excel Saga going. Not that I'm complaining, I just think it's weird. Though I have a feeling the fact that no scanlations exist for ES might have something to do with bringing them sales they wouldn't normally get...

Neither does Viz, apparently; 22 doesn't even appear on their website! The newest one on their official series list and store is 21.
