not much lately, but am in eager expectation of season 2 of haruhi which comes out this month as well as Eden of the East which also comes out this month, but the blue ray n october. I will get blue ray because it's only fractionally more expensive and cause the animation calls for it.

You are aware of the quality with season 2, right? As long as you know it's probably not going to be a problem for you. If you don't know, well... maybe you'd feel better getting some info first.
Only my opinion! :e_wink:

im aware, yes. i wonder if there'll be people who had no idea get very confused and stressed because they think their dvds are messed up. lol....

Im thinking of getting back an old anime i sold off - burn up excess. A 90s cell anime about hot cops. Rio Kinezono, busty, blonde, idiotic, money hungry and kick-butting is, in my opinion, one of the best female protaganists. Mostly because she looks so cool all the time. Its a weird comedy, but I enjoyed most episodes and the characters and voice acting are pretty good. Lesse, you got pervert Ryuji, the drag queens who dub rio 'stephanie'- the best being the sailor mercury-like looking guy with the manliest voice and the yakuza guys who speak in italian accents and have an obsession with collecting soda cans with models on them. Pro tip: dont watch BU warrior. Horrible. The worst bits of excess are when rio escorts an A.I. tank through the desert. A two ep arc which feels a bit ridiculous after awhile. The last eps got suprisingly violent too, and ends somewhat... unfabulous but satisfactory. If you have a few hours free, watch it.

Burn Up Excess had one of (if not the best) anime ending credit sequences ever.

oh ya, the music is very good. The kind you wanna sing along to. I may even break out in song when i watch the op, as long as no-one is looking.

I got Burn up scramble. Ugh, very cheesy 90s anime with dorky fan service....
Everything about the show changed. The character designs, their personalities and how many people actually are in SOLDIER - they dropped 2 people. the girls look awesome in the OP, Lilica especially. Maia is by far the best character. Yuji changed too. He's more .....dashing? i don't know, he's slightly less obvious about his perversion. And he looks like an adult Koizumi. Creepy.
What REALLY sucks is I unwittingly bought a pirated dvd with illegible subtitles. I can kind of tell what's happening, but it sucked out any enjoyment I could've gotten out of this.

I'll watch to see him get beat up more. His hijinks are satisfying a weird ship i've had for Yuji and Rio...

Wait, I just realised - How the Hell did he fall on the desk that way? His back was facing it. ughhhh

You just have to feel sorry for the poor guy, I quite like burn up scramble bought it on us import, in shop that no longer exists to my dismay, it's annoying there are no shops in the uk that import anime anymore, even cex is a joke since they no longer even do full retro stuff.

Finished Scramble. I kept looking at the time thinking 'this has to end in 5-10 minutes at least' just so I could hang in and finish it. I don't often drop shows.
Well, I think the ending's okay. The head honcho of SOLDIER Warrior turns out to be evil and the girls try to tag team her down. The woman had moves, why does she even need the girls?
But Warrior gets revamped and Yuji becomes boss. Wait, what?! The guy's a retard, I don't even!

OH! Also finished Cowboy Bebop. They handled everything like pros and I loved ep 24. But the actual ending lacked something. I think they crammed in too much stuff in the last half of the episode that they could've expanded on. Like, uh, If we actually knew Julia, I woulda cared more. For some reason, the Excel Saga version resonated more in my memory. I wanna see the movie again... the first time I saw it was 2-3 years ago and I was actually scared and upset when Spike got shot and thrown into the water - the threat of death scares me most. Everyone dying left and right like in the show just lacks impact.

Started to watch ultimate hellsing 1 through to 4, just annoyed that 5 has not yet been released in the uk, same with the hell girl series, finished at volume 3 and miraculously vols 4, 5 and 6 disappeared from the hmv uk website.

Watching Monster right now and it's quickly becoming my favorite anime. Man, every new character that appears in this show has some interesting backstory.

I have been meaning to check Monster out. Looks like a title I'll need to pursue.
