Mein Gott in heaven, Ill, that lady is crazy. I have never in all my years seen anything on that scale!

But anyway. I dressed up for the first time in my life! I went to a party with a friend as Switzerland. Costume was a bit of a rush job, as it only took 30 minutes. My friend went as a decision. Someone else went as a country too and all in all, it was a great night. Lets hear what other people did yesterday!

Oh, and not a single trick or treater came to any houses on my road. Depressing.

We haven't had trick or treaters at the house here in 3+ years.

The 'crazy lady' up the street grabs 'em all. :il_hahaha:

Attention, all! Pample returns from the land of vaguely mainstream counter-culture and has stories!
I forget how awkward(ly amusing) cons can be-- and I forget how many teens go. Makes me feel oooold... but strangely thankful. That's a rough age, I guess...
So.
The Nabeshin outfit I put together for a friend was a huge hit! I think nearly every time we were in the hall, someone screamed "Nabashiiiiiin!". For only four dollars  for the clothes, it went over quite well.
I said the phrase "And now it's time to Naba-leave!" so much. And the afro song. I heard a hilarious story about The Director himself too.
AND we ran into another Nabeshin!!
AND...
Someone recognized my Miwa costume!
:O!
I was on the phone and a friend heard someone point out my character, so I didn't get to congratulate them.
The Excel Saga manga seemed to be selling pretty well. The manga vendor had 1-17, I believe (excluding 7 and 8 and a few others, though I did ask hopefully :D)
I went back earlier today before I left and nearly nearly all of them were gone except for a few of the middle volumes!

Last bit: The Hyatt costume is cursed, guys. Not only did it fail me so many times that I couldn't wear it as my primary costume, but I put it on for debauchery times and... well, the idea of being Hyatt is no longer so novel.

Pictures to come later in my thread (though not of the aforementioned Hyatt costume). :im_nabeshin:

Anyhow, love the Halloween chattiness!
Il, that decorated house was so amusingly over-the-top.
Crow, your costume is utterly amazing! Love it so much!
It saddened me that I missed trick or treat completely. I missed my niece and nephew menacing people for candy for the first time...
Now for clearance candy and costume scavenging!

Your con trip sounds awesome, i wish i could have been there... Never been to a convention before ever...
And it seems strangely appropriate for Hyatt's costume to die... She does it all the time... Maybe you did too good of a job xD

Jeez, I just had a scare! While I was looking through the forum I suddenly got a 404 Forbidden message thing! I see Lord Dave's on so maybe it happened since he's performing some tune-ups? I was just worried for a moment I got banned, or something!

Ask, and ye shall receive.  I might find more, but there are about 20 pictures from the before and during parade.  http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=68806647&albumId=2977772

Also, you can see pics of all the other maniacs who marched out there in the rain here:  http://photos.halloween-nyc.com/

Through collaborative effort, we might be able to find the highest bidder, take the shirt away from him/her, and additionally steal their chocolate supplies...

Actually, the person who outbid me asked a question about how much it would be to ship to where they, live, which is Quebec, Canada.

...In other words, Lord Il, seek! seek! KILL!

EDIT: I hate myself, I bid more! My mom's gonna be so pissed!
