I think like Excel's first voice actress the best (Changed around episode 13, right?)

My second favorite would be Il Palazzo, the voice fits the character very well.

Hence why on the side of the DVD box, it says in that list of contents "overworked voice actors". lol

*checks* Interestingly enough, I hadn't noticed that on the box. ^^;

While that was wrote on there somewhat jokingly, it does show ADV's acknowledgement of their mistake - Something Jessica Calvello fans would know only too well.

I LOVED Iwata's voice, played by Mark Laskowski...
Seemed to fit the character perfectly, and i really do imagine that voive in the manga in my head... I just like it too much...

If a second season is to come, i'd vote him for being the returning guy to cast Iwata's voice...

I quite lied Monica Rail (think thats the name) who was the voice of hyatt, but then again I have seen other anime and she does a good voice for the characters she portraits

well here goes the same old discussion again  :ehail:

don't you guys listen to the original japanese soundtrack? I tried the english dub, but i just can't stand it. the VA's try hard, I'll give them that, especially excel, but still... english just doesn't suit anime, and the heavy american accent when it comes to names and japanese terms makes me go into convulsions.

only the bigger budget productions like Street Fighter, Macross plus, Ghost in the Shell and Samurai X (barf...original title: Rurouni kenshin trust and betrayal) are acceptable but i still prefer the original soundtrack. Too bad most productions have English in DD5.1, and japanese in Stereo.

Why is that? do the majority of the americans prefer the english soundtrack?

It tends to be split. There are plenty of people that go by subs only, but I hardly ever hear of fans going dub only. Really it just depends on the two casts for each series.

I'm usually swayed by 1)which language I hear it in first, 2)cultural setting of the show, and if one cast just seems leaps and bounds better than the other.
Examples:
-Samurai Champloo I ought to watch in Japanese due to rule 2, but I saw it on the air first in English and grew too attached to the main cast. (Plus I avoid the copious amounts of Engrish present in the show).
-Black Lagoon is set in Thailand, and while the male lead is Japanese, the rest of the main cast are American, (and extended cast of characters are largely not Japanese speakers), so English makes much more sense.

Anyway, to keep it on topic:
Brett Weaver (Nabeshin) and Jessica Calvello (Excel) are my favorite from the cast :ehail: I could listen to both of them all day.
