and my least fav was the woman from mars. :e_annoyed:

Hyatt..? Oo

She's awesome in the manga though, and not from Mars (i never liked that silly idea anyways)

Just remembered the scene with her skipping through field with the megalomaniac pink Puchuu :e_confused:

there's too much confusion they brought up concerning hyatt. you remember the 2nd episode where space butler was about to die and had a flashback where hyatt was with il palazoo? when hyatt fell to across headquarters, he seemed not to know who she is. but what doesn't make sense is that they gave the impression that they DID know each other before.
why does space butler know il palazzo anyway?

Tell me if i'm wrong, but i think we are delving into this too much.  The anime itself is described as deranged and wacky, no matter ho wmuch we delve the multitude of unsolved problems presented are deliberate and are intended to confuse for comedic effect..... ( :lordilvryannoyed:I see  :excel_fall:)

Those few and wacky episodes are what make the anime great.  Take the episode when the Roppenmatsu fall in love with Excel and Hyatt, that one was very crazy, but brilliant.

I hope no one gets mad at me, but after downloading the first episode I'm already pretty turned off. I didn't find it funny at all how Excel kept dying and that she just seems so different from her manga persona. It was a little funny how they had her kill Rikdo Koshi but why oh why did they make Pedro, whose name was only mentioned once in the manga, an MC?! It was also kind of weird to see him be all buddy-buddy with Excel; I just have a hard time picturing her being friends with one of the "masses".

When I have time I plan on watching a little more of the series, but...

It's nothing at all like the manga. You'll hate the anime if you're expecting a good adaptation of the source material. ;)

I never expect a good adaptation of the manga after all my experiences of going from a manga to an anime. I expect it to be very different but just how badly they tend to screw it up and the dumb stories that arise still baffle me at times.

At least it isn't as awful as the Hyper Police anime; I'm still very upset over that. They took a hilarious, pervy manga and turned it into a boring kiddy show!
