Resident Evil 2 for the PS1 without an instruction manual or box. Can't believe I missed it when it came out, 'tis a great game. Only $5 at my local game store. :e_pleased:
Mario Party 8 for the Wii
Final Fantasy XII. I've had a little time to play it. It's different, but the animations are the best in any FF yet. I have yet to see how the game plays out, but from what I've been told by my friends the ending is a little lackluster. Not FFIX lackluster, but still not the best, and they said it's easy to get sidetracked by all the bonus Hunts and such.
I bought the Transformers game fleshlings :ehail:
@ Lord Il: I was right Frank does Megatron's voice in this game and also if you do something you can turn Megatron and Optimus into their G1 versions :ehail:
Earth Defense Force 2017 for the 360. It's soooooo addictive.
BioShock. It's effing awesome.
Zelda Link to the Past Plus Crappy Minigame I'll Never Be Able to Play Four Swords! I got it used for my road trip to Seattle this weekend~ :ehail:

How is it, would you say, compared to the previous "version" of the game..?
I just bought Final Fantasy III for the DS (have barely played it) and Sprung: The Game Where Everyone Scores. I got the latter for $5 and it is just as terrible as I imagined it. I played it on the entire train ride back from Seattle and laughed stupidly the whole time. (Good thing I was sitting by myself.)

megaman ZX. zomg. it's pretty fun basically you have the ability to between up to 8 charcters on the fly[these would normally be new busters] each of the chataters have a seperate moveset. from your ice charcter's halber swipes to the fire character's ability to change the trjectory and direction of thier fairly powerful buster shots. it is a success in the megaman series. which has been a rarity as of late, if you havn't noticed.

Got Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War recently and played it up to the last couple of missions. Much like with all other Ace games there is a tunnel run type scenario AGAIN, but the last battle after that annoying one is over is a one on one air fight that is very obnoxious and, like with all other Ace games, I get so frustrated I never actually beat it, I just play up to the end and restart. It brings back some of my favorite features from 4 and 5, and the melodrama isn't quite as thick but it's still there. The cutscenes and interviews however are beautiful and very realistic.
Also when playing you can choose En/Sub and No Sub (no Japanese version this time, but it doesn't really suffer for it), choose the sub, because during some of the noisy battle scenes when your missile alert it going off non-stop and your trying to dodge missiles, you will likely miss some of the story going on as the NPCs talk to each other. Even then, reading the text while your trying to keep six Belkan aces off your ass is also difficult.
My only other gripe is the plane selection and how you receive your aircraft. You have access to two of the games best aircraft very early on (just not the funds to buy them yet) that by the time you get some slightly better aircraft like the F-15 and Su-27, you can already afford aircraft like the Gripen, Typhoon, and Su-37 Terminator.
But one thing I really liked was this time you have a choice of three beginning aircraft, all outmoded by modern standards but still better than predecessors - the out-dated Japanese F-1 light attack aircraft (good for those early ground attack missions), the F-5 II Tiger (ever the earliest or one of the earliest jets in an Ace game), and the best beginning craft, the J35 Drachen, that wonderfully eclectic looking Saab built jet with its double delta wings. One of the most attractive jets around in my opinion.
My over all rating - 8/10. It's fun, but aggravating at times, and you keep playing until you get to hear what every fallen ace that gets interviewed has to say about you, and it all depends on how honorable you have been in battle - the scale ranges from Mercenary to Soldier to Knight.

I Just got Silent Hill Origins for PSP, was a great game and explained a lot of the story behind Silent Hill and what exactly happened. Although its fairly short it had great graphics, superb scariness, new type of battle system not found in other silent hill games that makes it more interactive, and a buttload of secrets to unlock!
Good recomendation to any fans of SH series or horror video game lovers

YES. The game needed a UFO ending. One of the reasons why the Silent Hill series is so pwnage.
some interesting game features is the grapple system, enemies will grab u and when u hit certain buttons at certain times depending the situation u can escape all damage, or take a bad hit.
Also a new interesting feature, all normal melee weapons are breakable. They wear out over time and will break after a certain amount of time. There is a wide range of them from axes, to pole sticks, to even portable TVs! The unbreakable weapons are unlocked when you meet certain requirements. =P

From the description from the back
- Hard cover, UT3 art book
- Bonus DVD containing:
- 20+ hours of Unreal engine 3 toolkit video tutorials
- The history of Unreal Tournament
- Behind the scenes of Unreal Tournament 3
Since Im a mapper and UT freak, it's worth every penny ^_^

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - Limited Collector's Edition
(http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/3576/callofduty4limitedcollefv1.jpg)
Arkadian Warriors - Good for a quick-fix dungeon crawler.
Hellgate: London - Decent, but not worth the price.
Zelda: Phantom Hourglass - Use the touchscreen to move. Use the touchscreen to attack. Use the touchscreen to somersault. Watch as Link defies the law of probability and does what you actually want him to do less than 1/3 of the time.
Brain Age 2 - Makes you realize just how stupid you really are.
Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations - Start off playing as Mia, unfortunately for only one case.
I bought virtua fighter 5 for the xbox360, very addictive and certainly and improvemennt and much better than a pile of shit called dead or alive 4 and I unlocking the master chief in that game did nothing for me, as I also hate halo, or rather not hate but don't get on it.

Such an excellent funny game should be bought from the day it was released..! :)
The last game I bought was Mass Effect for the 360, it's pretty awesome.
Mass Effect looks pretty boring, the only temptation for buying it is in HMV as there was an offer where you got free 1000 MS points. I prefer the Darkness, which I got for my birthday.

Visual Novel, but it's more interactive than previous iterations, since you can actually select your character's mood and determine his/her actions and stuff. It has the first three question arcs and one entirely new one.

It was ok, but nothing special. Personally the new flying units are a let-down, space marines get nerfed again and the two new races are nothing special. Dark eldar are just s*** and the Sisters of Battle are just a weaker version of the space marines.
I thought so then it's better just to wait until DOW2 is out.

Nothing wrong with the old star wars games.....except a few which are too bad to mention.
Been playing Mass effect alot recently..Shame the storyline is a bit short though
I bought a Wii.
I also bought the current Mario games: Super Paper Mario, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl; plus Wii Play.
I am having a lot of fun with all of these games. They may not be the greatest games ever conceived, but are still really fun to play.
Note: There may be a whole hell of a lot of text to read, but Super Paper Mario is just too damn funny for its own good.

I have given up on Devil MMay Cry 4 and got myself everybodies gold world tour and ridge racer 7
Just went out and brought Lost Odessey and Eternal Sonata for the 360....mainly because my 360 has just been returned after giving me the red ring of doom.
Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core (PSP). Two hours in and more than half the game has been pressing the "X" button. I rather like it, though.
Chaos Wars.
I know Idea Factory games suck, but I bought it anyway. :elcry:
On top of being mediocre, O3's given it one of the worst english dubs ever.

And that's not even the worst VAing in the game... I'd give that to Tontay and Zeros, who sound like an 8 year old with a speech impediment mumbling inaudibly into the microphone.
I just got Crisis Core and FF: Tactics...oh and a PSP as well.
And I'm going to be ordering Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2 very soon.

Ninja Gaiden 2. People say it doesn't live up to the pedigree of its predecessors, but I disagree, I think it's amazing.
Just got myself .hack part one and half-life 1 for the PS2. Got both of them for £11 and thought it was a steal.

Acolyte mode is easier, though it's harder than Black's Ninja Dog. Warrior is about as difficult as the normal difficulty in the two on the Xbox, and Mentor/Master Ninja (which you can only unlock once you beat the game on either Acolyte or Warrior) are MUCH harder than any difficulty level in the first two. Of course, this is all just my opinion. ;)
Just got House of the Dead 2&3 return. And Ouendan 2 finally came in...so I've only been playing that...

Just pre-ordered Legend of the Unemployed Ninja 2.
I just
bought Izina 2 The Unemployed Ninja Returns.
Dungeon crawling, level grinding, ninja fun. I've been kicking ass with a paralyze-enhanced vampire claw (a small portion of damage given back as health).

I haven't gotten too far into it, but from what I have played its not too bad, the battle system is sort of liked a watered down Devil May Cry, and the adventure part has a very Zelda flair too it. So far there aren't too many puzzles though

Oh mah gawd, what a game... I mean the strategy guide alone can be used to bludgeon someone to death, and the gameplay is a little complicated for me not having tried anything like it before, but for Oblivion players it should be an easy walk over from what people in the know say, but all that good Fallout feel is there, and I just started.
Awesome.

Resident Evil 4 PC version (...now I've got the Wii/GC/PS2...and PC versions ._. ....I can't help myself...)
And I pre-ordered Resident Evil 5 Collector's Edition for the PS3...here's hoping that if I ever get a 360 I don't get that version as well :D
I bought myself lego batman, ratchet and clank tools of destruction, kane and lynch and lair
Bought Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure for the DS
mainly because the last "musical adventure" on the DS that I had last was freaking amazing.
In between now and when I last posted on the forum, I have either received or bought:
Persona 3 FES
Left 4 Dead
Dead Space
Fallout 3 (crashes every five minutes even though I can run it with no lag on max settings, I'd sell it if it were on a console :|)
Siren: New Translation (Asian Disc Version, still completely in English, known as Blood Curse in America)
Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Higurashi Daybreak Portable
Metal Slug 7
About 2/3 of those I bought myself, the others were Christmas gifts. >_>
I just got the PSP revamp of Star Ocean 2. It's very well done, the extra character is amusing.
I bought God Hand two weeks ago, and it has to be the best game I've ever played. Anyone with a PS2 should pick it up.
Bought myself guitar heroes world tour with guitar, lego starwars and soul calibur 4 again
I just bought a Super Nintendo and Mario Allstars, and am reliving my childhild... I also got Illusion of Time(an RPG I never completed) and International Superstar Soccer Deluxe(do I have to explain this one?), too. ^_^
Just bought...

Bought myself saints row 2, good for killing pleasure and naruto ultimate storm, annoying though
I bought Burnout Paradise and GTA4 recently, both for PC...
Burnout is a true fun-machine... Especially online with microphones...
GTA4 is a real system hog, badly optimized for the PC i must say... But hey, good fun, and i like the story so far, too...
Just got Onechanbara, it's quite fun for a budget hack'n'slash.
Got these over the last couple of weeks
Saints Row 2
Grand Theft Auto IV
Monster Trucks Nitro
Bejeweled 2 Deluxe
Bejeweled Twist
Bought myself street fighter 4 and the disappointing sega megadrive collection (no sonic 3 and knuckles lock on game). Would love to have a pc that could run gta4, after seein gthe things you can do with it.

Oh and some dude at work gave me these...
Call of Duty 4
Oblivion

Picked up Deadly Creatures for the Wii.
Alternate playing as a tarantula and a scorpion. It's a lot more fun then you would think. Billy Bob Thornton and Dennis Hopper do the voices of the humans in the game, who is a-lookin' for gold in the desert.
Sure, the camera can be a little wonky, but over all, it's a hell of a lot of fun stabbing a rat in the brain with your stinger. It's no biology lesson, and that's a good thing.
E^D

Hmmm... the last one I bought was Persona 4, which is amaaaazing. Oh woe is me with my lack of next-gen consoles. I want the new Star Ocean. Ugh.
I've been eyeing the new Prinny game too, but I'm horrible at platformers.
Some friends recently cajoled me into to buy a Magic The Gathering deck as well. I have a feeling it will be an expensive hobby... :eevil:
Here's a not-so-covert secret: I'm a D&D nerd-- just bought a 4th Edition handbook, though 2nd is my baby. Hyatt always rolls ones, man.
I got myself velvet assassin and mortal kombat vs dc, not a bad choice.

Picked up the Ghostbusters game, great for fans of the movies.
I just bought Pokemon Puzzle League (Tetris Attack + Pokemon) off the Virtual Console. That game is filling my head with brightly colored blocks that I must match in groups of three...If I space out for a bit, I can see the blocks being moved into endless chains and combos.
I also got No More Heroes and Klonoa as a graduation gift. : D
I remember that game, it was certainly addictive, sold my 360 and got my self a ds with a couple of games
Whoo DS. What games did you get?
Mario kart, assassins creed, transformers (decepticon), gta china wars, pokemon platinum, new super mario brothers, brain training 1 & 2 and brain academy
And also one japanese game the haruhi one, a bit difficult to play due to my knowledge of reading japanese (only bought really as a collectable item)

Ah, an import. Nice!
Outside Japan, we all tend to be very deprived of titles such as these. -_-
I found it in a shop in london, I was surprised to, to come by it. Bought myself izuna,
Finally got a copy of Metal Gear Solid 4. I'm loving it so far. Anyone who plays MGO should give me their GAME IDs. I must warn you, though, I just started playing yesterday, and I suck hard, so I'm still Level 0.

Ooh, neat. Must've been a fun surprise. XD So how's Izuna treating you?
Not really got into yet, keep going back to the brain training game (addictive fun) except it looks as though the touch screen of the ds as had mini freddy krugger scrathing it with claws. Bought myself Walk with Me for the ds, interesting fitness program
I picked up BlazBlue for the 360 but I;m focusing on Digital Devil Saga for the PS2 since I'm finally getting around to beating it. Lord knows how much I love the Shin Megami Tensei series; I just hope they'll release the next ones for the 360 or Wii because in my opinion there aren't enough good games out for the PS3 to get one of those yet.
Oh, and I also finally found Munch's Oddessy! Now all I need is Stubs the Zombie and I'll have all the Xbox games that I wanted to collect (I got one super late because it was given to me).
Personally, I like the PS3 more than the 360... Metal Gear Solid 4, Ratchet and Clank series, Siren Blood Curse, the best version of the original Ninja Gaiden (which is better than NG 2), Wipeout HD, Valkyria Chronicles, Heavy Rain (coming soon), free online, import friendly titles (Yakuza 3!), and great multi-platform games (Devil May Cry 4, etc.)? Heeeeelllll yeeeeaaaaaahhhhh!
^ Sounds like we're two very different gamers. I got a 360 because they're getting a lot more Japanese developers on board along with my beloved Rareware.
I forgot what it's called, but the game coming out for the PS3 by the creators of Ico looks awesome. It had a boy and a griffin-like creature in it and my jaw just dropped.
My PS2 and my DS are by far my favorite systems because of all the unusual titles that came out for them and it's great that the DS is region free so I can play Ouendan!
Well, all the games I mentioned are Japanese made, except for Heavy Rain, Ratchet, and maybe Wipeout. ;) I still love the 360, though (Lost Odyssey and Dead Rising are awesome!).
PS2 is tied with SNES as my favorite console of all time. It just has so many good games... ;D
I've bought...
Tales of the Abyss
Tales of Legendia
Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology
Metal Gear Acid
Metal Gear Acid 2
Odama
The Lion King (SNES)
And imported Tingle's Rosy Ruppeland, which marks my first PAL game :D
And since where talking about our favorite systems...uh....god...well I love the PS3, 360 and Wii so far (yes I even love the Wii, if only more games came out for the poor thing ;_;) And I did love the PS2 and Cube....and the SNES and the 64 rocked....but I'm thinking I'm going to have to go for...either DS....or the 64.
Bought Yakuza 1 and 2 for the PS2... Turned out to be some of the best games ever. ;D
I just picked up Knights in the Nightmare, for the DS, on a whim.
What a strange, complicated and compelling tactical RPG/shooter hybrid. You basically control a 'Wisp' (ball of light) that can bring the souls of dead knights back to life, to fight monsters for you, while the Wisp must avoid the projectiles the enemies launch at you. But, there's just so damn much to the game, I... I'm not sure that I can properly describe the game without it turning into a 10-page dissertation. Just search Knights in the Nightmare, and read some reviews. It's unlike any game I have ever played.
E^D
Bought these in the last couple of months
Mirror's Edge
Spore: Galactic Adventures
Bad Rats: the Rats Revenge
The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition
Trine
Bullet Candy
Meridian4 Complete Pack
Princess Debut for the DS. A.K.A the most disturbing E rated game ever.
I like music games, so I thought even though it was aimed at younger girls I might like it since you dance to classical music. What the back of the box doesnt' reveal is that more of a... a... DATING SIMULATOR!
The dancing is simply tracing a ball around in circles or lines while you find a prince to dance with, so far which have been very creepy. One is too obsessed with his sister and wants to be your partner if you speak to him in ways that remind him of her. He even tries to get you to dress like her *shudders*. Another is a big flirt that even continues to do so if you marry him at the end with the MC just saying "I know that he'll only love me and it keeps me on my toes!". WTF? The third... The third is really conrolling and barges into you bedroom without knocking to wake you up at ungodly hours of the morning. I'm on a fourth now that plays some really childish prank and I hate him.
^ yes sounds truly disturbing, ok if your a girl though I suppose, I came across an ouran game for the ds (usual in jap, so not very easy to play and looked suspiciously like a dating sim)

I really can't agree with you anymore on that. It's like Streets of Rage meets Shenmue meets Japanese gangster flick. It's like badassery of the highest order.
Shame that Yakuza 3 is a Japan-only release, I couldn't imagine enjoying it without knowing what was properly going on.
Also; I finished Star Ocean 4 in QUICK time. It was fun but stupidly easy.
Street Fighter 4 is like... Oh man, it is awesome, but I guess anyone who wasn't an arcade rat back in the early '90s wouldn't really understand. It's like nostaligia and a great fighting game at the same time. If you were an arcade rat in the early '90s and are kinda on the fence with this because of the crap like Tekken etc. that have been dominating the fighter market as of late, don't be afriad, it really is Street Fighter through and through.
The online has some annoying/cheap Sagat and Ken players in the ranking matches, but an okay Ryu(or anyone else, my friend who uses Zangief can destroy them) can deal with them once you learn their patterns. Once they realise you've got their patterns down, they just panic and don't know what to do and you can deal with them pretty swiftly.
^ one of the many reasons I traded in sf 4, no originality in moves, it's just a pity they didn't put an online option which prevented you or and opponent being tempted to use the same move again and again, though I can't say much, I managed to catch a few people off gaurd by using akuma and letting my super guage charge and then pumpling enough energy off the opponent to pull off the shun goku satsu,
The way I do SF4 now is that I pick my opponents. I just go on various forums and AIM and ask my friends if they got the game and live. Hell, I even had a party game of MvC2 where no Cable or Iron Man crap occured in an entire 4 hour session on Saturday afternoon.
I find that your average person only really want to show off how "cool" and "badass" they are. Where in reality they're just annoyances to 90% of people who just wanna have some fun. I found this out playing Football Manager Live, where people used engine breaking 4-6-0(no attackers) formations that because of the midfield flood, you couldn't get the ball past the halfway line and it was no fun at all. It put me off online games for ages, but as I say, after finding some cool dudes and playing with them in one of the cheapest games ever(MvC2) with no use of crappy tactics that online play is only good if you find the right people first.
Got Shadow Complex. Very fun game but quite short, I beat it in under 8 hours getting 100% of the items.
And it is a complete Metroid ripoff, down to needing missiles to break red doors, Space Jump, Varia Suit, and Hyperboots.
Almost got tempted to buy Sonic Adventure for my Lap top, and then it suddenly dawned on me that though my laptop as the specs, I incur the same problems I had with soldier of fortune 2 crappy slow downs, I hate my lap top
Picked up Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner - Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army and MDK (Murder Death Kill). ;D
Brilliant! You now own the game with the longest title ever! :il_hahaha: No, really, it's a good buy. MDK sounds interesting too. I'm guessing you kill things! :D

I had heard good things about MDK, and it was only $10, so I grabbed it while I could. It's actually really funny and a lot of fun, from the little bit I've played of it. :)
Sounds fun, actually! I tease, but shooters are certainly fun once in a while. Stress relief, man. And the art style does look cool!
Now look what you made me do: I wiki'd and the ending song is catchy, french, and awesome, fyi.

Bleh... Spent WAY more than I planned to. I went to Game Stop for Final Fantasy: Dissidia and walked out with that, Fatal Frame 3, and a reserve on Fragile.
i've come here to get recommendations. firstly console wise - i love to collect so give me a game to scream about, and i'll probably buy the console. For now i want a GOOD ps2 game. I bought one to finally get those games you can't get on XBOX and now i'm thinking - what were they again? I like RPGs. Yes, you heard me. I like ones with a plot and something you are trying to achieve. I DO NOT want a sims copy unless it truly is entertaining. My favourite games ever are the Kotor series and i want something like that. Or anything else thats good. so - action, plot, nothing too comlicated and interaction with other characters. BTW - i don't like stuff M+15 for blood and gore.
Get God Hand. It's rated M but it really should be T. It's super fun, creative, actually difficult (as opposed to cheap like CoD 4 Veteran mode), and hilarious. Best PS2 game out there, IMO.

Sooo..... anyone know the status on Fatal Frame 4?
Is the decision still final that we're not going to see a release here? Has Nintendo gotten enough death threats yet to prompt a release outside Japan? :il_hahaha:
Just curious because I know Wii owners have been literally out for blood since the news hit this week.
As a PS3 owner, I'm just disappointed that Nintendo owns rights to the title. >_<

Huh... Well, from articles I read and hearing stuff from people around the 'net it sounded like Nintendo never, ever intended for the game to be released in the US but I checked game FAQs and under the US release heading it says "canceled".
^Nasty..
I know someone who's actually so pissed over this he's going to buy a 360 this week-end as an anti-Nintendo protest move. He's very well aware it has a 54% hardware failure rate and, as such, is not a system he's ever supported.
But this news sent him over the edge. It was the last straw. Basically he's tired of being bombarded by uninteresting family friendly releases which outnumber others something like 4 to 1. I guess if Nintendo prefers to treat their gaming audience like children with restricting genres, this is how some people are going to roll.
______________
hmm.. I haven't bought anything too recent. I'm looking to get a worthy RPG in the near future. Tales of Vesperia is probably still a ways off but looks incredible.
Since I've last posted I've bought
Ar tonellico
MadWorld
Uncharted
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Darkstalkers Chronicles
Dissidia Final Fantasy
Silent Hill Homecoming
Final Fantasy 4 the after years
And I've ordered
Wii Sports Resort
Muramasa
Since people are talking about the series has anyone played the Shin Megami Tensei for the DS? I've been looking into the series and it seems like a pretty nice enough place to start. I know I'm going to end up buying Nocturne for Dante...
It is a shame about Fatal Frame not making it to America, from what I've heard it's not getting a PAL release either. Oh well at least Silent Hill looks good...
[EDIT]
Good news, it looks like a couple of fans are translating Fatal Frame. And from looking at they're FAQS it looks like you wont even have to mod your Wii, if the patch they are doing works, you just need to get a copy of Fatal Frame and an SD card.
http://zero4.higashinoeden.com/index.php5
Hopefully it ends up working. If so looks like I'll need to dig for a good place to buy Fatal Frame :D

Yup. 360s suck so bad I had to send mine in for repairs shortly after I bought mine. Sure, it was for free, but it's ridiculous that my N64 is still running strong but the 369 died in less than a year.
To be honest, until I heard that Fragile is going to be released in the US I totally regretted buying a Wii. The games are stupid and childish, like you stated, and I hate the controllers. It doesn't matter who it is; all players look like an ass while they're trying to play.

I've been a long time fan and I HATE the SMT game for the DS. It's a completely different battle system that isn't fun at all. Nocturne is probably the hardest game you will ever play so I strongly suggest buying the Devil Summoner games to help get you familiar to the SMT series since the first is super easy but still very fun. Digital Devil Saga is also very good but you should check online when it comes to how to unlock and find the optional bosses since it's a pain to find them on your own.

The DS SMT is an SRPG right? Or did I hear wrong? I do love SRPs....so I may find some enjoyment in it, I suppose in the mean time I'll look for a copy of Digital Devil Saga
I've been playing the Metroid Prime Trilogy that just came out on Wii. I beat the first two and I'm on 3. AMAZING! But apparentlyt he Wii scratched the shit out of my disc. DAMNIT! I always take really good care of my discs, too. Now it doesn't read sometimes. >.>

Since I've last posted I've bought
Ar tonellico
Oh my, that game is so trippy. Not bad, per se... just weird and full of innuendo. It's unique, though. XD
As for the Wii crappiness subject, I just borrow my sister's when I want to play something; I probably would not buy my own. I thought Tales of Symphonia 2 would redeem the bad games out there. Ha... haa.. no. So since then the only ray of light is the new Monkey Island game from the online store. Haven't bought it yet, but I think I will soon... I keep on seeing Jenga for Wii and that ruins my view of Nintendo. I mean, the whole point of Jenga is making a big mess and being spiteful to your friends by making a tower collapse on them. Without that, why bother? I bet when it falls, it's just a crappy animation of blocks falling. OMG, wow, how exciting. And then there's the Price is Right game... Le sigh.
I just bought A 4-bundle pack from Blurst.com... The guys who made Offroad Velociaptor Safari...
I'm a big fan of their free online games, so when they had downloadable ones for sale, i got them right away... Even got an offer to lower the price since i was a supporter in the past by playing their games, alot...
So now i'm a proud owner of 4 of their many games... They may even make additional patches and addons for the downloadable versions... I really hope so...
I bought myself ape escape for my psp, alot harder to play on the psp I found though
I cleared out my Ps2 collection and just barely afforded Xenosaga 2 in store credit. They were pretty crummy games. So far XBOX wins. The controller is too thin and everything moves too slowly.
I had Sims castaway. I couldn't figure out what to do next and contantly making stuff and finding the supplies for it got on my nerves.
Rogue Galaxy. Thought the art was ooooooooookay and it was cheap. I actually liked the fight sequences. I actually got to control every move instead of picking one and watching them perform the move themself.
Kidrobot. For the life of me i couldn't figure out to defeat one boss. I just thought to myself 'this is lame' and turned it off.
I also had Matrix and some racing game, but i never played them.
But Xenosaga..... i mean, the cover looked cool, but the game is soooooooooooo slow. They're telling a story, but im not really interested in it. The character i wanted to play at the start was Canaan, but i got stuck with Choas and had to play all these other characters. It's my fault for jumping in the story halfway, but apparantly they only have vol 2 in PAL, meaning i cant even play the others. Even Rikdo Koshi did fanart for KOS-MOS, which makes me think 'If he likes it, there must be something good about it'. But i just don't like it. I'll finish it, but it's taken me 18 hours and im only halfway through. just hurry up already. It takes too long to figure out what to do in some places. It took me forever to figure out what Stock even does or how to get special moves. And the voice acting makes me cringe. I just turn off the sound and listen to my mp3 player. Canaan had a good voice actor, he wasnt a total dork either. And he was the best looking. Why couldn't I play him?!
Okay, after i made that post, the very idea of continuing seemed like a sentance. So after work yesterday I traded it in for something new. As a kid, i always loved spyro (He's Ka-wa-iiiiii!) and as simplistic as the gameplay is, i enjoy it - so i got a Spyro: a Hero's tale for $11. I got Kingdom Hearts 2, and have jumped on the bandwagon. It's cute and i like the gameplay. The idea of playing with Disney characters is fun and enjoyable.
Maybe i just like kid games, or something that makes me feel i've covered ground in the time i've played it.
Not the most exciting game, but I bought myself grand master chess for the PC
Got these in the last couple of weeks
from steam
AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! - A Reckless Disregard for Gravity
Street Fighter IV
and Meridian4 gave me these games for free (because I bought the complete pack a while back).
Crash Time 2
Nikopol: Secrets of the Immortals
from gog.com
Screamer
IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946
Stonekeep
Expendable
I've thought aout getting AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! - A Reckless Disregard for Gravity for some time now... I should probably get a try with the demo, see if it's my kinda thing...
^Now that's an interesting name for a game.
Reminds me a lot of how I felt when playing Mirror's Edge. :il_hahaha:
While I was on my trip I found a game store and picked up Parasite Eve 1 and 2 for the Playstation for only $32 all together and they're in great shape!
Upon my return home today I also stopped by Game Stop and picked up Persona for the PSP that I reserved.
I attempted that stream shit when I bought a copy of half life 2, it required me to download the damn thing after buying the disc which was a piss take, so I am no fan of this streaming shit.
I may have the budget of Excel, but I managed to get my copy of Persona for PSP. So excited. I'm gonna have to turn off the background music though. It's cool the first eight million times, but then it gets a bit trying. There are so many random battles too... Otherwise, seems alright, but I'm only an hour in.
^ Yeah I know how that feels, get paid monthly, usually spent after the second week of the month and hanging on until payday
Bought my self a new laptop, Guilty gear x, Grand Theft auto san andreas, assassins creed and theif collection pack
well, i bought a used ds so that i could play... kingdom hearts (yes, im a fangirl. A roxas one). I got a free donkey kong game with it.
But i want to get the phoenix wright series. I get the impression it's good.
Pre-ordered Borderlands a long-ass time ago. Finally got around to paying it off.
I also tried to import Ryu ga Gotoku 3 while it was on sale for 50% off, but it's been four weeks since it shipped, and it still hasn't arrived. Fucking Play-Asia... >:(
Got rid of theif collectors pack, bought myself sonic adventure dx, Lego Batman and sonic collection plus
Bought myself mercenaries 2 (runs slow), sonic heroes, Kingpin, Capcom arcade volume 3 (cheapo second hand game), midway arcade deluxe, outrun 2006 and lord of the rings: battle for middle earth
Bought my self hitman blood money for only £3 bran spanking new, disagree that I have to use the damn keyboard to play it though.
At last I have bionic commando rearmed for the pc and working at the correct speed, yeah
Haven's bought them but I did reserve Fragile for the Wii and Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth for the DS.
Apollo Justice was freaking horrible so they'd better do good with Edgey's new game. I guess Gumshoe follows you around so I hope in this game, like the others, there's lines you can take out of context to make it seem naughty. :eevil:
I'm an only child, and thus a spoiled brat, so I'm holding off on getting some new games for awhile with Christmas nearing. I've got my fingers crossed for Ghost Busters and Brutal Legend.
I just went through a deal with 3 other friends, we bought Borderlands through Steam's 4'bundle deal, which is much MUCH cheaper than buying it retail, as i originally planned...

I played a demo for that recently. My god, they did a great job on this one. The actual voice actors (Bill
effin Murray! :il_hahaha:) are there too from the movies. Ghostbusting really is THAT fun.
I'd like to get it sometime. Just hope it won't be a short game.
Had a look at the demo of ghostbusters, not impressed. Saw that DJ hero in my local HMV certainly looked different, don't know about the control device though
Well I haven't bought a new game recently, but I downloaded a very strange mod for gta san andreas, instead of a nighttime moon, the Deathstar 2 now appears in the sky of san andreas.
lesse...
i got Phoenix wright ace attorney. I need help with that game sometimes, 'cause you have to do a very particular action and i don't have the patience to figure it out. Does anyone else prefer Edgeworth as a character? No offense to Wright...
Kingdom hearts 1 and 365/2. I'll spare you the rant.
And I bought some random games for the DS: the world ends with you and Kira Kira Pop Princess.
I have decided that modding and gta san andreas are a complete waste time especially when you find a mod, install it and find that you have to reinstall the whole damn game. curse 2nd edition san andreas.

Phoenix had to grow on me. I thought that Edgeworth was a dick at first but after you start learning about he became my favorite. I seriously can't wait for his game!
I've been playing Borderlands with 99% of my spare time this past week. It's easily GOTY for me.
Street fighter 4 for the pc
I bought the best targeting gib that was ever released Soldier of fortune 2 double helix, shoot em in the head, hands and even the balls
GTA 4 laughably running adn just cause
Bought myself Star wars empire at war gold and oh as anyone played the star wars the force unleashed ultimate sith edition on the pc yet
Got these in the last couple of weeks
Zombie Bowl-O-Rama
Nation Red
Metal Drift
Mass Effect
Condemned: Criminal Origins
Space Quest Collection
Playing black and white and lego indy, a bit annoyed I can't play scarface on my laptop since vista doesn't like attempting to load it properly, corrupt graphics me thinks
i finally got my psp! they gave me final fantasy dissidia(?) with it. I've never played final fantasy before, so im mostly just playing arcade mode until i figure out the fighting system.
I pre-ordered Serious Sam HD on Steam... I look forward to it, whenever it'll be released...
^ serious sam in hd now that does sound interesting though it seem quite comical and silly I thought serious sam was quite a fun game to play.
I love the firs two Serious Same games, this remake of the first game looks like something i'd enjoy, especially with friends when we play Coop...
The silliness is what makes this game so awesome, and that's why the title is so inappropriate... Althoguh one thing IS serious, and that's the serious amount of crazy many enemies to fight :D
Thought I would give sims 3 a try
I bought myself bio-shock, prince of persia (2008), fall out 3 and COD 4 modern warfare
Been playing Phantasy Star Zero. It's reminiscent of Phantasy Star Online but with PSU's photon arts mixed in. It's not a perfect game, but that's because of the DS more than anything else.
I was never much a fan of the phantasy star series, played them from the days of the megadrive (genesis).
I just bought Modern Warfare 2
Also got Evil Genius over GOG.com, it was 50% off \o/
Since I've last posted I've bought
Mana Khemia 2
Altiler Iris 1-3
Assassin's Creed DS
A Witch's Tale
Kingom Hearts 356/2
Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story
Persona
Kuon
Soul Calibur Broken Destiny
Rock Band 2
Onechanbara
Left 4 Dead
And I think that's it...
i've bought:
ghost in the shell (psp). Oh, i don't like it at all. I never watched the anime, which doesn't help, but the simple fact is that a shooter could never work on a psp. Plus, they're actual people(not aliens) Their thuds to the ground feel too heartbreaking.
Phoenix wright justice for all
Crono trigger (an old favourite i never got any further than the future world. i give up with old games. i have no idea why)
I decided to give final fantasy a try. (a lot of money goes into it and it's pretty popular, so maybe it is good) I wanted to go for the seventh one, but have started with Crisis Core. The seventh is a playstation 1 game, you cant really get them anymore in Aus... goes to ebay.
I bought Left4Dead2 XD at last a game involving a cricket bat and hundreds of zombies to twat in the mush with my mighty cricket bat
ooh joyous sound of nasal cartilage on willow, the mighty thwack of their jawbones dispatched with cosmic ease throught the french windows of the pavilion, it's tea before lunch with your bails in your pocket, your googley's round your neck and a fucking good booze up all round upstarts and have at yer me hearties FOUR ::sends a Zombies head flying:: sorry six XD
I bought waht i thought was a new copy of saints row 2 for the pc only to find a it was second hand one and the bloody install steam code does not work, really really fucking annoying, pardon the language. Managed to kind of sort it I am now waiting for an email response from steam.
I have a xbox360 60gb machine again, and I have bionic commando, tekken 6, star wars the force unleashed ultimate sith edition and gta 4 (with both downloaded contents).
If you own an xbox360 and you want easy peasy complete achievements go for sonic and knuckles or sonic 3, the achievements are rather embrassing if you were a pro on the md or genesis at this 2
wah, crisis core made me sadface. I may regret paying this much (or not) but i got an old edition of final fantasy VII.
Oh, and Kingdom hearts chain of memories.
I've bought a Modded Ps2 that will let me play any region games. Finally, i am no longer bound to the small collection PAL has!
I used to have a modded ps 2, it was fun while it last unfornately I gave to my cousin and never saw it again, grrrrrrrrr

Don't let that slide. Smack your cousin in the head (not too hard as to draw blood =P )
Demand that you get it back though. Seriously.
I bought myself wet, fable 2 game of the year edition and rented out prototype, wish I had bought that one instead of wet
I recently bought New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
It's tough, like really, really difficult. I thought about buying it for my best friend's son (he's 8 ), until I actually played it.
Remember how awesome Super Mario Bros. 3 was? Remember how Super Mario World took it even further into awesomeness than was thought possible? Yeah, this game's not like that.
It's fun, sure, but doesn't even come close to the masterpieces that are mentioned above. 2 Players at the same time is frustrating, so I don't even want to imagine it with 3 or 4.
>NSMB DS
<SMB3/SMW

^ Geez, that's a bummer to hear! I planned on snatching that game up once it went on clearance.
If you haven't played it yet, then I recommend Zuma
Traded fable 2 and WET, and got myself prototype and street fighter 4, finally got to play modern warfare 2, and I must say I am impressed.
I bought myself guilty gear 2 overture, not a bad game, a bit of a pain in the ass, but not bad
^ I like the Guilty Gears; the characters are neat.
^ Guilty gear 2 overture is not bad, but I preferred the original arcade style rather than dynasty war style of play you have in this guilty gear series
I also bought the greatest game of all Call of duty: Modern warfare 2, its brill
I bought myself The Wheelman (vin di-sel) and gta stories from liberty city
For Christmas I got Brutal Legend, Ghost Busters, and Super Mario Brothers for the Wii. Oh, man, I wish I could play them!

Tell me how you like it, Maddy. I was thinking about picking that one up someday.
For Christmas I got Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, and Heavenly Sword (one of the first few titles for PS3 that absolutely refused to go down in price until recently). Never asked for either game but heck, I'm not exactly complaining here! ^^
^ how are you getting on with heavenly sword, ifound it a pain in the ass in certain bits. Bought myself Quantum of solace already completed it on easy, and chronicles of riddick: assualt on the dark athena, a sort of enjoyable game if the stealth mode really did work out
Gave up on chronicles of riddick and guilty gear 2 overture, traded them for the bourne conspiracy and bought myself assassins creed 2
Quote from: exckilla on December 27, 2009, 04:24:31 PM

So far it's still in the plastic wrap. I'm doing pretty good, huh? lol!
But yeah, I've heard it does have a few annoying areas here and there. I'm mentally prepared for that when the time comes. I think!
^ I found the bit where you had to save daddy annoying from the soldiers and theres a fight where noriko has to defeat her own people without killing them. Managed at last to beat modern warfare 2 on easy, think I will give it a try on hard next
I played a little bit of Ghostbusters and I'm really bad at it. It doesn't help that you're messing with the analog stick constantly to try and keep the camera where it needs to be, the controls aren't fantastic, it's hard to see where you placed a trap, aiming the damn gun is tricky, you have to vent the back every three seconds, AND there's no feedback at all to show you've even hit the ghost. If you're shooting at it from a distance you have to hope you're on target.
I was really looking forward to this game, too! The comedy is great, as well as the teamwork aspect, but I wish they'd polished it a little more.
Playing assassins creed 2 at the moment, best game I have played for a while and certainly an improvement over the original, no bloody cutscenes involving desmond to much yeah

First off, did you ever play Psychonauts? That was a Double Fine game as well and one of the funnest you will ever play. Once you get your PS2 up and running you really owe yourself to get it.
Brutal Legend is actually better then Psychonauts, something I still can't believe I'm typing. The levels are gorgeous, the world's residents very well created, the voice acting rocks, and I can't wait to see what's going to happen. The only bad thing is that you can't jump and there's no health bar, but otherwise this game was very well done. No camera issues, the car you drive steers perfectly, and Eddie performs his moves flawlessly.
I'm absolutely loving No More Heroes. One of the best games I've ever played. Travis Touchdown is a hero to us all. :im_nabeshin:
Brutal Legend, better than Psychonauts? Pshaw. I have not played it, but I simply cannot believe it.
:D
Got Divinity 2. It's an okay game, nothing special, wish I would've waited until it hit the bargain bin.
I got myself a game dripping with my childhood nostalgia - rugrats, search for raptar. I await it in the mail.
Thanks to certain people, i got elite beat agents. A funny concept, enjoyable, but sometimes it's a pain to perfect.
Also, Rune Factory, Chess (im gonna be as good as lelouch someday!) and Metal Gear Acid. I've never played a solid snake game before and i ask - should i play another one first?
And, DAMN! FFVII doesn't load! This crummy 12 year old game is broken. I demand a refund! Before it got to the big black hole of a region it wont load, the first 4 hours were quite fun.

I know, I was shocked as well. Eddie is so much fun as a main character and the zany heavy-metal action/humor is just great!
Eddie: I shall return covered in the love of the gods!
Ozzy: Eww!
Just beat No More Heroes. Most rewarding. Final boss. Ever.
I raged hardcore when he used his one hit kill move on me when he had only 1 HP left, though (he takes about 45 minutes to an hour to beat).
Bought myself x-men origins wolverine, resident evil 5 (what a load of shit) and a weird little one called fairy tale fights
Quote from: exckilla on January 05, 2010, 02:44:14 PM
resident evil 5 (what a load of shit)
Indeed. They promised the second half of the game would be a "return to survival horror," but instead of zombies and BOWs they gave us Africans with guns and Jill in a skintight outfit. Let's not even talk about how the game forces co-op, mostly takes place during the day, and has a QTE in which you punch a boulder. Also, "COMPLETE. GLOBAL. SATURATION."
I really like the wolverine game lots of bloody fun, mmh bought my self tigers woods 09 brand new for a surprisingly cheap price and Wartech.
Bought myself Overlord 2 very funny game
bought myslef lego star war 2, so that I could get the rest of achievements on the xbox360
Picking up my pre-orders for No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle and Mass Effect 2 today. I'm ready for awesome. :im_nabeshin:
Mass effect 2 any good. Got all 1000/10000 on Hitman blood money, pain in the ass to do though especially the special rating achievement and 5 sa's on professional difficulty. need something new to amuse me.
Tried to install Mass Effect 2, found out the files on the disc are corrupt. I hope it's just a fluke, but I won't be able to play it at all until Saturday at the earliest (when I exchange it for a new copy).
In the last couple of weeks I got
Empire: Total War
SWAT 4
SWAT 4 - The Stetchkov Syndicate
Tropico 3
X-Com Complete Pack
Men of War: Gold Edition
Mevo and The Grooveriders
Aliens vs. Predator Classic 2000
Serious Sam HD: First Encounter
Bought fallout 3 of the xbox 360, got sf4 again for my birthday (idiot mother), and assassins creed 2 again, so I could see what this download content is like.
I bought Bayonetta over the week-end because I wanted to see what the hype was all about. AND if it really rips off Devil May Cry much with the gameplay.
I've only just realized she has handguns attached to her ankles. O_o
Finally got Mass Effect 2 working. Really good game, but not much of an RPG, even compared to the first one.
Bought myself star wars lego the complete saga on xbox360 games on demand.
Thought I would give prince of persia and tekken 6 another try.
Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth. I'm pretty excited to play this but I have my worries since Apollo Justice sucked more than Tiger Woods' mistresses.
Currently readdicted to fable 2, I just enjoy an rpg which as moral choices. Corpus
Bought my self dark void, sonic and friends all star racing and alien vs predator, my opinion so far is modern warfare 2 with predators and aliens, but a bit more enjoyable.
Assassins creed 2 pc, not bad
Forgot to mention I picked up Muramasuma for the Wii yesterday. Before that I also picked up my pre-order for SMT: Strange Journey.
After beating Fragile I'd had enough of the Wii and started on Strange Journey. I decided to pick it up since it's not an SRPG like Devil Survivor, so I don't hate it. The military like setting is a little boring but it's still pretty good! Can't wait to see what happens!
I bought myself quantum of solace and sega rally for my pc, and download the microsoft game room thingy, not bad, but a pretty crap selection of retro stuff though
Bought myself alien vs predator for the pc, not bad
Bought myself kings bounty the armoured princess and finally at last lego starwars 2 for the pc, not bad and looks great on my laptop, the first game and lego game I can play at full video and sound quality.
I may regret this, but i spent almost $100 on Harvest Moon SNES in PAL region. Horribly rare, i've really been wanting it. That, and the N64 version are the best harvest moon games. More friends of Mineral Town is probably the best gameboy game - but it takes forever for anything to happen. I don't know what's so great about Harvest Moon, it's addictive. but whatever you do, dont play it's a wonderful life, it'll ruin everything.
But the most wasteful money i've spent on a game is FFVII. I mean, i never played the game but i spend 80 at some place online because they seemed legit, but after 3 hrs or so the game cant load anymore. It took me almost a month to get there because i was very unmotivated about playing it, so they wont give me a refund and say to get it professionally cleaned, which is what they advertised doing on their site before i bought it. Then i buy a new copy and have 2 FFVII games... wasteful... So far i've had it for 4 months and have played less than 20 hours, i sure know how to pace myself

I have been DYING to play Quake 2 again. Now I just need money to buy the ID super pack...
If you just want Quake 2, you could get it on ebay for about $10.
Have you tried Quake2max?
I used to play Q2max quite a bit when I upgraded my PC to an Athlon 1800XP in 2000. It still is a fun game, lots of action, no boring cinemas. Also the stage progression makes more sense, you feel like you are a lone commando on a mission, with the computer giving you updates from HQ.
If you do play again, drop me a PM, I would like to try co-op. Not many people play it nowadays...
Now all we need is some Excel Saga models -- "this alien planet is corrupt!"

I like the way you think.
Quake 2 runs fine on my laptop but I am running a crappy nvidia go7600 with the latest drivers installed, as in don't have much choice, becasue when I bought this laptop a. it was second hand and b. the updates happen automatically which is good and bad to a point. I know that there was a team rockect mod with voices for quake 3. Any good sites for quake 4 mods or jedi academy mods anime preferably.
I bought Serious Sam: The Second Encounter over steam... Well, pre-ordered, but it'll be out in roughly two weeks from ow or something...
I also gifted my older brother a copy of Borderlands... Expensive, since i got it for him for full price...
Still cheaper than it is for retail over here though...
I quite like steam, downloading demos now and then. Bought myself Jade empire and sonic riders.
Bought Heartgold last month. Took me 8 days to beat every gym leader and the elite four. This game felt a little too easy....oh well, off to training.

I just bought myself Beat Hazard trhouh steam, it looks funny and it was on sale, i'm sure i'll enjoy it ..!
I bought One Unit Whole Blood (the entire collection of BLOOD games) from gog.com
I love that website so much now... This game is a must buy to any mid-90's FPS lover...
Caleb's voice is so freaking wonderful :D
THEY HAVE BLOOD ON GOG NOW?
IT JUST BUSTED THROUGH MY ZIPPER
Get it man, GET IT..!
Just started playing Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, for the DS.
It's kind of like a cross between the Persona(? I guess, I've only ever played Persona 3 and 4 of the SMT series) games and Pokémon... It's kind of fun trying to talk to the demons to recruit them.
E^D
the last time that i bought a game was like a month ago. It was Dante's Inferno. besides being super short(i beat it in 3 days), it was very very gross looking, but still cool looking too. Each level of hell was pretty creepy, but the grossest was the level that had all of the people that couldn't stop eating. Luckily i was able to shove a scythe blade in their mouth and cut them in half from the inside out. did i mention it was really gross. I would recommend it to anyone.
I tried Dante's Inferno, it's very cool, kinda feels a bit like God of Way with how you progress through levels...
It's not as awesome as i had hoped though, but going through hell is a blast though, i like how they portrayed hell, mainly because Wayne Barlowe did some of the concept art to visualize it his way... And I LOVE how he portrays Hell in his paintings ..!
The only thing that I didn't like was that Cerberus was a wiggly worm like thing instead of a dog.
Hitman 1 and it runs on vista with no problems and king kong, haven't figured out what I am doing wrong when entering the cd key code, really really pissing me off
Was it me or did it just seem like there were no new game releases in the uk today had a look in game, gamestation and hmv and nothing.
Bought myself punisher, mini ninjas, soldier of fortune platinum edition and Halo 2
I have just started playing THE MOST AMAZING VIDEO GAME OF ALL TIME.
That's right... Deadly Premonition! :il_hahaha:
I don't have an Xbox360, so I got a friend living in Japan to send me Red Seeds Profile (that's what it's called over there) for the PS3. I miss a little of the flavor text and unvoiced dialogue, but I know enough Japanese to navigate menus comfortably, and it's all voiced in English, so I don't have any problem following along with the plot.
I wouldn't recommend doing what I did if you're a PS3-only owner like I am, but if you have an Xbox360 and you haven't bought this game yet, it's only $20. You will thank me. Or curse me.
Bought myself left for dead 2 and batman arkham asylum for the pc, both are very enjoyable. I do think it is a load of bollocks though when you buy a steam powered game from the shops and it only has one time install code.
Bought myself gears of war for the pc, not bad looking
Tales of Symphonia 2.
It's alright, but not as good as the original.
The most recent titles I have bought are lego harry potter years 1 to 4, devil may cry 3 special edition, burnout paradise, roogoo and the greatest first person shooter of them all and it runs quite well on my laptop aswell, modern warfare 2.
bought ace attourney games apollo justice and miles edgeworth.
Phoenix was way cooler than apollo, but his perceive technique actually makes more sense than a magnatama that lets you see the locks in people's hearts. The bracelet was unnecessary, it serves to make apollo's skill just a fluke that he did no work for. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the story.
Miles game is a bit... ehhh. I like him, I'm not too fussed on Key even though I just met her. Seriously, why do they have to have a teenage sidekick in every ace attourney game (or in Wright's case: teenage physic)?! It's kinda creepy that these full grown men are spending so much time with teenage girls when it would be easy enough to have a secretary or workmate. To be fair, there is Gumshoe and the girls do have a legitamate excuse to be there. But back to the game, I find it hard to pick just the right piece of evidence and the game doesn't flow as quickly as Apollo Justice. But the tiny sprites are cute and there are more little screenshots and movie sequences that make the game a bit more evolved.
I bought myself serious sam gold edition and x-blades, which runs on my laptop and the specs for the game given on the back of the box are bull shite, just like the avp normal and collectors version where they both have different minimum game specs
I bought this ages ago but just finished it: Steambot Chronicles. A steampunk(without punk) style game where you ride mechas through a sandbox world with rpg elements such as deciding what your character says and does. for the most part it's voice acted but everything your character says seem skipped and unnatural. for me, the voice acting was so cringeworthy i turned it off, and just let the sound effects play. because i sorta disliked everyone, i took the villain path in which you take over a military group with a stranglehold on all the fuel and towns. But get this, in the epilogue, you wake up in prison. What the hell!? I win a war but get taken down by the police force. What good is my army for?
All in all - okay. I would play it again, if i had time to waste. the bad points are slow-paced gameplay where you spend 20 minutes travelling from one end of the map to another, alot of loading that is slow. The plot ... while it had points i liked, it can be hard to know where to go next. And the epilogue is HELL! It took me ages to find everyone. You have to talk to 6 people from the band in order to find the heroine, but there are no clues! you just have to go to random locations that take forever to get to and have 3 line conversations that are very unsatisfactory and start with the line 'when did you get out?'. I meet the heroine, say one line to her, she goes '...?!' gets in my trotmobile and you are free to wander the world completing side quests. No, i think ill stop. Yeah, that epilogue was so worth the 2 hours...

I actually played this back when it first came out and loved it.
my roommate loved it too. probably why he stole it.
anyways, at the time of its release, it fit the description of steampunk
maybe not so much now however
I am currently playing;
It's really very good
I'm alternating between StarCraft 2, Mafia, and Fate/stay Night right now. All of them are awesome. Can't wait for Mafia 2!
I bought: Bully, Dead or Alive 2 and beyond good and evil from the ps2 preowned section.
I know I said I hated no 2, but i decided to be fair and try out Xenosaga 1, since i've got the mod and stuff and can actually play the NTSC region. The art style in one is different. It's anime style which makes me go ugh... [shudder]. The plot still makes no sense, but i can sense some weird religious thing in it, which lessens my interest. The cut scenes are numerous and it is true you have a 27 introductionary scene which probably prompted some to throw this away. I did get it for less than $10. there is that.
Now for something awesome, psp harvest moon boy and girl. There are alot of niche titles coming on the psp and i rather like that. It has the ability to put better games out than the ds and i like the cool look of it and everything. Plus, i'm gonna be one of the rare ones that can actually play the new kingdom hearts game. On Harvest moon - nice cut scenes, light tone and addictive gameplay. I love the ones set in mineral town.
For the rest of the week, I shall be mostly playing;

Hopefully someone I know will also get it so I can try out the Co-op =(

I have it, but there is no online co-op until September 28th.
... good point XD
Bought myself starwars battlefront 2
Oni, Spider man 2 - the best video game based off a movie i've played and Jet Set Radio Future. I love that game. It's the only one i've ever truly completed; the unlockable characters and so forth. The game gives me the strongest feeling of falling sometimes...
^If you haven't done so, play Mirror's Edge. Since it's 1st person perspective, that game actually did a good job of making me feel like falling when missing a jump. What a rush!!! I've never experienced anything like that.
Hmm, if you think it's good maybe i'll try it out. Once I have a ps3 *looks at horizon*
Put it to you this way, Randamo.. Falling off of buildings almost made me a bit queasy at times. :il_hahaha: Not so much in the barfy sense though!
I thought it was just fun.
My last post wasn't so interesting as i had to go... *coughs* okay then,
The feeling of falling was a bit... what's the word? It reminded me of nightmares of falling and waking suddenly. I often expect pain or to have a jolt. It is something no game has ever been able to do - make me feel i'm really there. If mirror's edge does the same thing, it sure would be interesting to try it.
I also feel a new release of jet set is in order - a more immersifying one.
I finished Metroid other M at the weekend. Very good game. It's also very different so take some time to get used to it.
i've also been playing alot of Dragon Age. Also very good. And very Bioware.
Bought myself the slim xbox360 4gb model with super street fighter 2, assassins creed 2 and alien vs predator, addicted to ssf4 at the moment, have to wait until next month though before I can fight online.
Bought myself the bloody brilliant blublaze, completely addicted, shame nono of the guilty gear games are available on xbox live arcade yet
I got Halo Reach and a new Xbox 360 Slim the other day.
Just ordered the PSP Yakuza game from Play-Asia last night! :im_nabeshin:
Not bought anything new yet, but my intended when I do get paid at the end of ye month is mafia 2 and tiger woods 11
Bought myself GI joe rise of Cobra, Cobraaaaaa more like a 3d version of Contraaaaaa, Pro evolution soccer 6 for 49p bargain, and the hughly disappointing king of the fighters 12, poor selection of games really, looking forward to payday
Bought myself Left for dead 2 and sonic adventure (xbox live arcade) today
Bought my self dantes inferno, prince of persia the forgotten sands and fifa 11 the reason being I get 3 times the loyalty points for buying it.
Bought the Wii versions of Resident Evil 1 (remake) and 4, along with Bayonetta! They were all on sale. :)
Finished Portal. Gosh, it was fun.

I'm very much looking forward to Portal 2.
Bought the force unleashed again so I could get the hoth downloadable content, nice level, shame there are no achievements for this level.

it's an achievement.
There are radio's hidden through out the game, the first one is in the chamber you start in.
What you need to do is take the radio and find the spot where you can receive the radio transmission (the red light will turn green).
Do the same to all the radio's you find and you will get the achievement.
Note: some of the stuff you will hear from the radio's will either be morse code or SSTV (Slow Scan Television - images sent via radio).
Oh ya when you have the radio tuned (light turns green) try throwing it into the field near the elevator (don't worry once it has turn green it is counted toward the achievement)
I don't really try to get achievements.

What do you get? Money? Women? Power?

The community has found a lot stuff in the radio transmissions regarding the upcoming Portal 2

You crack me up, Randamo. :il_hahaha:
But yeah, the accumulation of achievements in games generally does very little sometimes IMO. But I guess it depends on the game too. If there was a greater incentive to get achievements in more games perhaps I'd make more of a point in getting them.
braggin rights, got it.
But i suppose it gives more challenge to a game you've already beaten. I however, am a lazy gamer and consider getting the main storyline all that's necessary. That's a side effect from playing too many RPGS with too many bonus games. I learn to just keep looking forward.
I've been playing Xenosaga despite my brain screaming at me to stop. While making fun of it and NOT getting the plot, I rather like some characters. KOS-MOS is prettiness and awesomeness and Allen is the only sane person without a ridiculous character design. Without them, and i guess that UME addict at the start of the game, i woulda dropped this a long time ago.
Fallout: New Vegas.
Fun game in all, pretty much a straight continuation in gameplay and mechanics from FO3, but once again it shows Bethesda/Obsidian does not learn from past mistakes. New Vegas is even glitchier than FO3 before it got all patched up. It's a mess in places, with animation drops, sync issues, timing, false triggers (I love not being able to shoot or reload my gun for no reason...)
It's a mess and shows they rushed it out there. I hope they fix it soon, otherwise it's almost too messy to play.
I would agree with that about the new fallout game, and I am even more shocked for a new game I could actually run it on my laptop, it has all the minimal specs to run it probably be slow like fallout 3. Bought myself fable 3 and star wars the force unleashed 2, I really like the new star wars game (anyone for a game of force throw the storm trooper in ventilation blade)
Bought myself splatterhouse and I most say its the best slice of violence video gaming I have played for a long time

Game looks great! I've been meaning to pick it up for a while. :im_nabeshin:
I'm playing Cave Story =D It's rather good.
I also finished Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, which was also pretty good
I bought myself blublaz continum shift and call of duty 4 modern warfare
Picked up Halo: Reach and ODST. Haven't played ODST yet, but Reach is pretty decent, and for some reason I am way better with the Reach multiplayer than I was with 3 or even 2. Not sure why, but I'm a bastard with the battle rifle. WAAAY better than the older version, got a lot more oomph.
Got a new laptop, so i bought myself gta 4 and the force unleashed sith edition
I only recently bought a PS3 from a friend (for only $170 :e_shocked:) Said friend completely refurbished it (it's waht he does for a living) and added a 160GB hard drive. All that and no chance for the yellow screen of death.
Soul Calibur 4 is great. Exactly what I expected. Love it. And I can still kick major ass with Voldo. Plus, I hunted down a Premium Edition, so I could make customs of Hell Girl, Konata, and most of the main cast of Soul Eater (Maka, Death The Kid, Black*Star, and Tsubaki). Still working on Excel Girls customs, but I think I have to unlock more stuff.
Marvel Vs Capcom 3 feels like no matter what buttons I press, I will do something incredible. It just feels weird... and slow. All the moves are pretty much Ryu/Ken-based, but do different things. And the announcer is SUPER-FUCKING-OH-MY-GOD-I-WANT-TO-KILL-HIM-ANNOYING! You can't even shut it off!
Burnout Paradise is fun. Not quite as much fun as the previous Burnout games, since it's missing Crash mode, but it's super fast, and my kind of racing. Having no line to follow for the races is interesting, but I have to keep pausing to look at the map, and I usually end up taking a wrong turn, and you can't end a race until you actually cross the finish line.
I am really enjoying Eternal Sonata. What a great game, and gorgeous too. The best console RPG I've played since Persona 4. I really like the hectic battle system, even if blocking is kind of a pain.
Still trying to get into Hyperdimension Neptunia, but it's such a slow-pace, the item use thing is very frustrating, I still have no idea how to customize combos, and the music really gets on my nerves. The story is kind of funny, and the girls are pretty, but I'm not sure that's enough to keep me going.

I bought myself agrest, saw the videogame, gta 4 complete edition and little big planet 2, enjoy playing them at the moment.
I bought myself Mortallllll Kommmmbat, bloody excellent and the fatalities are certainly an improvement, even the addition of kratos in the ps3 version was a good call, all I need now do is figure out each characters pit fatality. The bosses are a little bit disappointing, I fought kintaro and goro would be alot more difficult to defeat, though he has some fancy new attacks shao kahn is really easy to beat just use characters with projectiles that fire from a distance.

Yes, it was an unusual move to see him in a Mortal Kombat game.
But more than anything, I was surprised to hear that Kratos wasn't an unlockable character.. He's playable right from the very beginning. O_o
Recent Purchases:
Fallout: New Vegas
Team Fortress 2
However... I haven't been playing them at all, really. Instead, I've fallen back in love with Oblivion. I can't freakin' wait for Skyrim.
Traded my ps3 for a bluray player, due to my anger over the sony online issue. I bought myself a 3ds with super street fighter 4 3d, super monkey ball 3d, lego star wars 3 3ds version, sonic collection and sonic colours.

A Blu-ray player for a Blu-ray player?? You must've been plenty angry. :e_wink:
Yep I was, at the end of the day I have my laptop which can play decent games and I have my 3ds.
Bought Portal 2 this week. Funny and atmospheric as always.
I can see why people says it's easier than the first, but damn there have been some parts where the paths were so damn clandestine, yet so obvious. It gets to the point where I just shoot portals everywhere out of frustration. Barely on Chapter 8, going to hopefully finish it later today.
Picked up Tekken 6. Spent a few hours tonight playing VS mode with a friend. :im_nabeshin:
I love it, but I'm really bad. I don't usually play fighting games, but I make an exception for Tekken, since the early installments in this series were a big part of my childhood.
The Scenario Campaign is absolute garbage, though. Worse than Death By Degrees, even. Only played that crap for long enough to get some money so I could buy the business suit for my favorite character, Miguel.
The weird things that happen to me.. O_o
I don't usually make pre-orders for games but yesterday I decided to put 5 bucks on the new Duke Nukem release. I was told there was a customer appreciation week thingy where everyone making pre-orders are entered to win a free game. ..pffft..! Right, like I'd actually win something.
I get a phone call from Game Stop yesterday evening saying I won a game. The hell..? :e_shocked:
I really didn't want to go back in town again, but for a free game... why not. lol!
They gave me Hyperdimension Neptunia with artbook. Nice! (I've watched your review, Soske.)
So even if Duke Nukem Forever sucks (I hope not!), at least the free game will make up for it.
Anyways, Hyperdimension Neptunia is a fun RPG with lots of character. Lots of humor on the loosely based console war theme. The dungeon designs very mediocre at best.
As an RPG, not extemely involving but overall a good, fun distraction.

bought myself a pc, not great specs, but it can play bionic commando and black ops quite reasonabley at the lowest settings, the machine is an athlon x2 245 2.90ghz, 4 gb of ram, up to 891 ati radeon 3000, 500gb hard drive
Got Mortal Kombat. The store only had collector's edition and tournament edition, so I went for the collector's edition, since I was planning on getting a fight stick anyway, but didn't want a MK-specific one.
Used a gift card I've had since christmas, so I paid regular price for the collector's edition, which came with: DLC themes (one for the heros, one for the villans), avatars (MK logo, Scorpion head, and Sub Zero head), and classic Ermac costume, an artbook, plus 'Scorpion spearing Sub Zero through a wall' bookends (which are pretty awesome, if sloppily painted).
Been practicing with my new Hori RAP V3-SA. It's been a little tough getting used to, but I'm waiting for my octagonal restrictor, then I'll be in business. The square plate it came with makes it a bit tough to pull off Shoryuken-type moves.
Soul Caliber IV
Marvel Vs. Capcom 3
Mortal Kombat
...just waiting for the Super Street Fighter IV Acarade Edition to come out. I know it's about improving the game, and making more money, but, damn, Capcom...

P.S. The "damaged" character models in the Necropolis are anatomical sights to behold. It all looks SO GOD DAMN PAINFUL! :hdead:
Apart from the final boss in story mode, I thought mortal kombat was a tad easy and the fatalities, could be done with relative ease, but don't get me wrong I did think it was a great game, just a shame they didn't briing out a pc version, oh well I will just have to wait for super street fighter 4 arcade edition, which is due out soon yeahh.

With me, it's that I do not now, nor have I ever, liked using Liu Kang. I can't get the style down. So I've been having a hell of a time vs. Shao Khan in story mode. Like, it's a wall that I hit face first, every time. If I could only use some
other character. Kabal, Baraka, Kung Lao, Ermac, Kitana, Sindel, Cyrax, Smoke... damn near ANYONE else, but Liu Kang. It's so very frustrating.
E^d
You spam liu kangs special m oves to the fullest on this fight, just make sure you have mr Khan in one corner or the other and there are oppotunities (not many to jump over him to give you the advantage). I know this is spoilers but the hardest battle is the final one when your using raiden, though he has the flying attack do not rely upon it to much this boss is very hard to spam, it took me about 16 attempts the final we shall say usinmg very harsh and nasty language at my poor ps3.
I guess I'll keep trying... The back-forward nature of all of his moves is a pain in the ass for me to pull off.
Should I use just fireballs, or mix it up with dragon/bicycle kicks? I always screw up the bicycle kick...

Personally, I enjoyed the platforming in Alice 2. It wasn't Mario Galaxy or Ratchet & Clank, but it was decent enough, IMO.
Decided my next to pc purchases next month will be alice the madness returns and super street fighter 4 arcade edition and maybe bulletstorm after playing the demo.
Currently playing Borderlands as Lilith; it's really fun !
I like the lot of variety of guns, and even if the quests are a bit redundant, the characters and the background are interesting.

It gets a lot more exciting near the end. Make sure to grab the DLC packs if possible, they're arguably better than the main game.
I think Lilith and Brick are the best for the single-player game, but Mordecai and Roland are a lot more exciting for co-op. :im_nabeshin:
Just finished the first playtrough. The end is disappointing, but I saw that the story continues in DLC 3.
I have the Game of the Year edition, but I can't play the DLCs yet as I'm playing the PC version on a mac and I need some special modifications that I can't do right now.
Wow, I haven't played Borderlands in a long time... cool stuff. I miss it.
Finally got Team Fortress 2 (free of course, I was actually close to buying it). I think it's safe to say that this has filled the void that WOW made, and I don't know if that's a good thing.
Great game! :elhail:
For anyone who doesn't know, TF 2 is now free to play on both PC and Mac.
TF 2 looks like a riot to play. I have it on The Orange Box and never bothered to play for fear of becoming too addicted. :il_hahaha:
------
In other news, level 50 has been achieved in HyperDimension Neptunia. ^^ And my copy of the new Duke Nukem game continues to be shelved. O_o
I've been playing TF2 a lot recently!
If anyone wants to play, my Steam is "Poey" (... I think?)
Just bought Recettear for 5 bucks on Steam today! :elhail: I've heard a lot of good things about it, so I'll probably get around to playing it as soon as I get some of my anime watch list done and get some of my Team Fortress addiction out of my system. (unless Steam puts up L4D2 for under 10 bucks... :il_hahaha:) Oh, and I added you, Poey ;-)
On steam I bought sega dreamcast collection, assasins creed and pre purchased super street fighter 4 arcade edition (now looking forward to friday when it should be unlocked)
Whelp, I spoke too soon....Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 are on sale today for 7 bucks. Downloading at this moment. :elpleased:
To expand on Soske's and Foggle's thoughts on Alice: Madness Returns: I totally agree.
While the game may not be very advanced, on a technical and gameplay level, I think this is the perfect example of video games as a storytelling medium.
I just paused the game, to tell you all that it's really great fun, totally engaging, and just gorgeous (if not overall very difficult, while, at othertimes, intentionally difficult). I'm also fighting with the camera, all the time!

The Caterpillar and White Rabbit suits are also cute has hell on Alice, while completely in keeping with its own morbid charm.
American McGee's Alice... Started it, but felt it was a little too touchy for my tastes. I said "screw it", and just went into the sequel.

I quite enjoyed the game not completed it yet though, bought too many damn games on steam becuase of the tempting game sales they have had in the past week
Finished Ghost Trick in two days.
I see that Phoenix Wright writers are as good as ever !
The story really moved me, so funny and dramatic at the same time ; the characters are so great and the gameplay is very good.
Now to wait for AA Investigations 2... Wait, they won't release it outside Japan ?
OH FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU- :e_angry:
Bought myself a great classic today on steam Jedi knights dark forces 2, the only issue I have with it is it runs a little too fast.
I've been playing Braid.
Amazing.

Oh, and I added you, Poey ;-)
Hmm? I didn't get an invite... my username is actually "Poeyseidon", abbreviated to Poey, if that helps/does anything.
I do like playing peggle nights and peggle extreme at the moment
I got the invite and accepted!
I bought myself wheelman for pc, seems to work better on this integrated card than it did on my laptops which was a slighty better integral graphics card to what I am using now. Just annoying I can not get gta 4 to play properly pain in the arse and yet I can run bionic commando at minamal settings.
Picked up Catherine for PS3. Puzzles are surprisingly fun and addictive (GODDAMN HARD, THOUGH), while the story is probably the best I've ever seen in a video game. I definitely recommend it.

I'm also fighting with the camera, all the time!

just sayin i waited and waited for A:MR to come out ever since AM:A came out.
Im happy to say i got every achievement on the game and the storytelling was absolutely perfect in the game. I hoped for a more...explanatory ending (i hate endings where you just have to assume what comes next... i know its a popular way of storytelling, but i'd like to SEE teh good ending, not assume it)
the rest of the story was perfect however.
I'm picking up Catherine tomorrow.

Holy shit, this is an awesome game! I've been looking forward to playing this for MONTHS, and it does not disappoint. I got it for the PS3 (download for only $10).
The Deal: It's a twin-stick shooter: you are a spaceship, left analog is move, right analog is shoot/aim, plus nifty super weapons with the triggers.
The hook? The game uses ANY song on the system as the basis for the visuals and enemies. Slow, quiet parts: your guns aren't as effective, but there are less enemies.
Fast, loud parts: your guns are way powerful, but there are loads and loads of enemy ships and debris.
And it was all made by ONE GUY.
Each song will give you the same enemy patterns, so if you want to re-do a "level" it won't be different.
The visuals, oh, GOD the visuals are an explosion of color in your retinas!
You must discover how much fun this game is. It's not very complicated (shoot stuff, dont get hit) but can be very challenging. You can even set the visuals to a beyond the impossible 200%, but that also makes everything a bit more difficult, because you are blinded by the awesome.
If you have a PS3 or a Steam account (some kind of PC game thingy) you have got to play this game.
Now, I am about to shoot down more crazy spaceships to some Ray Charles tunes.

Bought myself skylanders for the xbox360 and must say really addictive, bit cheeky that it's a game that requires you to spend cash on additional figures for use with the portal of power.
SKYRIM
Holy crap, I have played this game for over 250 hours since Nov. 12th. It is like having a second job, except you enjoy it.
It's as buggy as Bethesda's reputation, and kind of gets choppy/slows down on the PS3 after a while, but I don't care. It's just too damn much fun. I haven't played any other game since...

I loved Skyrim. I got to the level cap of 81 and still had more to explore. Enchanting is broken though, being able to cast spells at 0mp cost made the game quite easy.

how'd you do that with enchanting? O.o

You need to get enchanting to 100 first, which is easy if done in conjunction with getting smithing to 100. You then need to find and disenchant items that have the mp cost reduction for the schools you want to use (for most its Destruction and Restoration). When enchanting is maxed you can put two enchants on one item, and the mp cost reduction will 25%. Since there's no dimishing returns with it, you put the enchantments on your helm, armor, ring, and necklace. Final step, enjoy casting Lightning Storm for 0 mp.
Got Resistance 3 for Christmas. Not usually one for shooters, but this draws me in. Very enjoyable to the point where it makes me feel like I'm really in the the middle of the action at times. I love games that can immerse you into them like a good movie. The story picks up a few years after the second game (still in the 1950s). Still have a lot to do yet but I hope this will be a longer game than before.
Ah, I put fortify sneak on everything.
Unfortunately this includes dragons. Which kind of sucks, they completely ignore me even when I chase after them shooting dragonrend and arrows.
Even when I hit them with dragon rend, they just fly away like I never hit them.
Dicks.
Picked up Soul Calibur V. Awesome, as usual, but I think I need to use the controller, as I do much worse with my arcade stick... Also: The story mode is terrible, and written like a really bad fan-fic. Otherwise, besides the new characters who are a lot like the old characters that are not in the game, it is a great Soul Calibur game, and I absolutely love Voldo's new costumes.

Just played BlazBlue Continuum Shift, and well... Here's my experience, in a nutshell:
Story and dialogue:[/u] "What the fuck am I reading!?"
Graphics and art design:[/u] "It sure is pretty! But... What the fuck am I looking at?"
Actually playing the game:[/u] I have no idea what I'm doing, and yet most matches wind up: "[Character I chose] WIN!"
Another thing: Who the hell translated this game!? Is it supposed to be horrible Engrish? Examples: REBEL 1 (uuuhh, knowing a little about Japanese phonetics, shouldn't it be "Level 1"?) Arakune (ah-ra-ku-ney? Even if it's pronounced that way, shouldn't it be spelled Arachne?)

Still playing Skyrim.
Kid Icarus: Uprising for 3DS...
Practically, Excel Saga anime in videogame form :il_hahaha:
The dialogues... THE DIALOGUES! :il_hahaha:
Anyone else planning on getting Max Payne 3 for PC? (Or any platform... doesn't really matter, but I'll be playing on PC.) Was thinking of making an ACROSS crew, but I don't want to be the only member. :il_hahaha:
I might wanna get it, but I wanna make sure it's actually worth buying right away...
It would be an instant buy if it were by Remedy, but since it's not, I really don't want to jump into a game that might be more wannabe Max Payne than the actual Max Payne brand...
Hope the story still has plenty of noir moments, I LOVED that in the first two, mostly the first though, and it doesn't really help if the game has a drunken fully bearded max with big muscles, sitting in Brazil... Yeah I get a bit nervous where the game is heading when I see that...
I guess I'll find out if I want it hen it's out, and I hear form people what they think :P
My friend has it and thinks it's AMAZING. He's been a fan of the other games as well. I played it just a little bit and it seemed hard as shit.
How is the feel of the game..? not so much the gameplay, but the atmosphere, and such... I loved the dark feeling the old games had :o
I have purchased many since last I was here for the PC, Max payne 3, gta 4 plus content, game of thrones, lego batman 2, both batman arkham asylum and city and street fighter x tekken plus a few others.
Thanks to the Steam sale, I recent bought:
Ys Origin
The Bard's Tale
Saints Row: The Third Franchise Pack
Divine Divinity
Deus Ex Collection
Metro 2033
A Valley Without Wind
Braid
Runespell: Overture
And the sale is only half over.
I am bit annoyed I didn't save up more cash or avoid buying certain titles too early for example both force unleashes I could have saved a tenner on number 2 and £20 on the first, and £13 on sonic generations. I bought myself duke nukem forever since it was at £3.74 and a price I would only pay for it, not bad for whart I have played of it. Just annoyed I can not get lost planet or soldier of fortune payback to work (a cursed windows 7 64bit).
I haven't been able to take much advantage of the Steam sales this summer... So far, mostly it was games I already own (sadly, some I didn't even play yet -.-) And only very few others, I considered, but left alone, since i have too much on my plate as it is..!
I did get myself Skyrim though, figuring it wouldn't be on a sale like this again for a while, and I wanted a new big open game to roam around in anyway..!
So I've been playing Skyrim for the last 2 days, it sure is addictive, but GEEZ are there many bugs in this game, glitches galore, and according to a friend, broken quests, and just generally oddities pretty much around every corner...
Still, addictive, haha, I play as a female Orc, figuring they're melee combat based, and I'd like something you probably don't see every day :D
There are some very annoying bugs in skyrim, one of them I found occured as soon as I got arrested, escaped and then got caught by the gaurds again very time i pick pay the fine or go to prison the game froze, all happened on a quest I am sure ^ you will discover which is the love quest you are given in riften.
I imported Max Anarchy (AKA Anarchy Reigns) from Japan. It's already in English, so I figured it was worth paying extra to get it >7 months early. Best multiplayer game ever IMO. Tons of fun online (or even with bots) and the soundtrack is simply fantastic.
I made few miscalculations back in april when I bought myself starwars the old republic, what a waste of £40.00 and further waste of £19.00 for added time, I thought I would enjoy it but alas it was not ment to be I prefer the other mmo I bought which was APB.
