Watched the original series of Hellsing, which was pretty cool. Some of the dubbing of English accents was a bit unrealistic, but didn't detract overly much from the coolness factor. Then I started watching the OVAs (). In spite of my awe of Hellsing Ultimate, I consistently find myself baffled as to the comic interludes injected into them. If they were going to try for a little humour, they could at least be a little funnier. But the comedy seems childish, and thus wasted on what personally seems more of a mature audience oriented piece. In spite of this, I particularly enjoyed the greater attention to artistic detail that came with the OVAs, particularly to the background, such as a cameo appearance from the exterior of the Imperial War museum in the third one (I think). All in all, general yay.

I loved his election tv advert. Vintage Kabapu.

I'm enjoying Darker than Black. I particularly like seeing the different ways each contractor makes 'payment'. They must've had fun thinking them up.

After watching Ouran High School Host club and playing final fantasy VII, this brought the lols.

Such a weird series...it's just weird for the sake of being weird.

I felt well depressed today so I thought I'd indulge in starting Death Note. The premise is so grim, I just have to laugh. Same thing happened whilst watching the films 'Versus' and 'Battle Royale' too (although the former was just plain silly anyway).

I decided to put Neon Genesis Evangelion on the back burner for a while and instead I watched .Hack//Sign which, after 'Lain', was simple but that made for a nice change. I loved how the characters in the game were not necessarily reflections of the people playing it in real-life, giving them more depth and room to develop as the series progressed. Surprisingly not very action orientated at all, majoritively talking, but that seemed to really work as well. A  variety of different musical backgrounds added to setting the scene too.

I've now moved onto 'The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya', which looks really entertaining.
