Wanna look at my ceramic pieces (and random junk)?

It sucks when companies discontinue colors; it's usually always the really pretty/neat ones.
We used to have the very same problem with the fired-on paints where I used to work. It would be crucial that paints were used exactly the same for each cast figure with near zero variance (people are picky). This often meant ordering an overstock of the paint colors to be safe.

OK, so my county fair is coming up and I'm entering a fairly large amount of pieces into it. I've never won grand prize, since the judges tend to pick the pieces that are shiny and distract them, but I'm hopeful this year! In addition to the gothic lolita girl, guitar mask, and cat with the eyeballs I'm entering these:

MincyMatsu

Those are bound to at least catch peoples attention ..!
That first one is just looking lovable...

Easily fixed. You can distract them with shine too.
Go to your local craft or hardware store and get a spray can of clearcoat finish. Should be possible to get it in various sheens like high gloss, semi, or a matte finish. Spray in light coats so it won't hurt the painted surface.

But really I'm liking them just the way they are.

............

.... Clowns scare me. :il_hahaha:

....So how did the fair go?

....

I'm a talentless hack who should be shot. *sigh*

Once ACROSS takes over, those judges will be forced to acknowledge your amazing skills.
Seriously, though, I love these! The first two especially!

So true, note the peoples names in your little black book, for the coming purge  :il_hahaha:

Heh, thanks guys.

I guess the issue was that since it was a group of old ladies passing judgement my pieces were a bit too "out there" for their tastes. "Girls with blue and pink hair?! How silly!"

Foggle

The apes judges were probably too busy throwing their own feces around to notice your talent. >:(

Pamplemousse

:il_hahaha: Only old people are allowed to have blue hair in their book, ya know?

I am totally gonna rock out that stereotype when I'm old, though.
My hair will be a different shade every month since I won't really care about bleaching it by then.

This one is for Lord Il:

And this one's for all the fellas (just noticed my foot's in the shot XD):

I painted her because this overly religious lady who attends my ceramics class has a little shop of her own and wanted to get rid of this piece really badly so it was only $3 already cleaned and fired (I don't know if you can tell but it's a fairly big piece). I bought it to mainly make her uncomfortable since she sits next to me in class but I don't mind having a sexy lady in my room :p. It was just really, really awkward antiquing her nipples.

Heh... I still find it funny that there's actually some pretty dirty ceramic pieces out there. The ones I've seen are pairs of snails and frogs where, if you flip them over, they're anatomically correct. There's also a Saint Peter piece where it's Peter on one side but on the other it's a di...

MincyMatsu

I like how you got it just to annoy her :D
Looks quite huge though, bet it must take quite some space... :O

The flute playing... Thing (what, jester, clown ..? i'm lost D:), i like it \o/

It's called a periot; he's a type of French clown I decided to post to annoy Lord Il but I don't think it worked :P.
